We stayed at these cottages just one night and wish we had stayed more. The cottages are right on Lake Toba and many of the rooms have wonderful views. A private passenger ferry from Pitapat picks and drops off right at the property. Our room was large with balcony and the breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful.

The place was amazing and very close to Lake Toba, offering a beautiful view. Suitable for kids and has swimming pool too. The staff were very helpful and friendly, but the taste of the food could be improved. One of the best place need to visit at tuktuk area i think.

Lovely spot on the lakeside not far from where the car ferries arrive at Tomok. If you arrive on foot you can take a small ferry to be delivered to the hotel directly from the lake. The accommodation is in buildings based on traditional houses with parts of original ones used in the construction of some of them. We had a junior suite which had a large double and a single bed. Clean and comfortable with air conditioning and a large balcony overlooking the lake. The food was very good with a German bakery as well as traditional food and the coffee that they grind on the premises is really good. There is a nice pool and various “ wellness” services on offer, the massage was very good. The staff are lovely, so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place as a base for exploring Samosir island. They run various tours or you can hire a moped to get around by yourself.

Lovely relaxing place with great food and excellent staff. Good location on the lake with nice gardens to relax. The staff are so nice and helpful and make you feel so welcome. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the onsite make cake / bread and coffee are fab.

Lovely accommodation and beautiful location. We stayed in a lovely Batak style suite, with great views of the lake and garden from the balcony. The breakfast was good, and we ate dinner in the restaurant most nights. The staff were nice and friendly. You can swim in the lake, although it is a bit cool! A relaxing break. Hire a guide and go on a tour.

Great place without reliable Wi-Fi, good rooms and good breakfast, helpful staff, but music is loud and I don’t want to hear nirvana at 8:30 at night. But to each their own.. still can NOT rely on their wifi. That was my main issue… location is good, ferry drops u off right there.

Overall a nice place. Good breakfast, very nice rooms with fun shower. Wonderful grounds on the lake with water activities. Courteous friendly staff. Music in the evening that can be rather loud in the rooms. But internet is quite inconsistent. You can’t rely on it.

Overal fantastic hotel. Good food, nice staff and excellent location! One of the best hotels in Samosir. Nice place to stay in Toba when you want to relax or explore the island. Tuktuk is very close and offers many places to visit. They even have their own coffee and bread.

Second time at Tabo, this time with my mum. She can't stop raving about this place. We stayed at a Deluxe Room which was spacious and bright. Huge bathroom. The staff is super friendly and always helpfull. Breakfast buffet is amazing and the food in the restaurant as well. The whole property is well maintained and beautifully designed. I love all the small huts where you can sit. The pool is a bonus and the view is just awesome. Highly recommended.
