Beautiful olde world thatched pub with only the sound of birdsong & the babbling brook that flows by the entrance. Friendly company and delicious top quality food - we had succulent beef wellington and homemade steak and ale pie. Delicious! The accommodation was warm and comfortable. Delighted to have found this perfect gem.

We've been a number of times before and have always loved the cosyness of pub itself, which is what brings us back, but unfortunately on more than one occasion have been made to feel unwelcome by the land lady. Both times we were not the only people remaining there and it wasn't very late (9.30pm one time and 10.30pm on a ticketed event on a Saturday the next). She has repeatedly told us they are now closed and rudely ushered us out, making us rush to finish drinks and leave. It's a shame as we had paid lots of money to be there both times, eating meals and even paying for tickets to be there and watch music, and felt we were not treated as valued, paying customers.

Lovely welcoming pub where we stayed for a night. Well equipped room with new shower room. Evening meal delicious. Only disappointment was my breakfast which was half a tomato and a mushroom. I ordered tomato, mushroom and toast thinking I’d get some halves of tomato and a few mushrooms on some toast. Only one slice of toast arrived as well. I feel this parsimonious breakfast offering let down an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Superb country pub. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Excellent bar with good range of beers and excellent food. Special mention to the lovely waitress (sorry, didn't get her name) who looked after our dinner party of 16 with - totally at ease, professional, courteous and efficient!

Winter roasts are over sadly, but the Cridford Inn in Trusham messaged us re today being the start if their summer BBG season,so we went! And lo, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining! And we emerged from the usual tangle of Devon Roads back at the Cridford Inn! Friendly welcome, as usual, abd and we ordered our BBQ at the bar,which was cooked to order outside. Fab veg, rare proper fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and the meat in a stunning BBQ sauce. Drink cool refreshing p Pimms while waiting for everything to cook... Chrissy's pork choice was a little on the tough side, but my chicken was perfectly cooked by Friendly Chef. He also made our stunning Tiramisu dessert himself! Pretty waitress was helpful, and the Manager came by and checked all was well. A fun lunch Hope to return here again soon.. Mic and Chissy. Exeter

Lovely sunday lunch, we've visited two weeks in a row, and both times have been superb. Lovely old pub, great food and a nice selection of ales n cider. Friendly staff and prompt service. We had roast beef, roast pork, roast cauliflower, and a mexican bean burger. Everyone enjoyed their meal and emptied their plate...

Stayed here for two nights. On arrival we were informed that there would be a £10 charge per dog per night which added an extra £40 onto our stay. This was not explained on *********** where I booked the hotel through. When we arrived there was a limited choice of food and the food was expensive. Breakfast lovely and all amenities in the room and reasonably priced beer in the bar downstairs. The girl behind the bar very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The work didn’t work in the rooms which was disappointing as needed to contact family members who were caring for our animals at the time and there is no signal either. We wouldn’t stay here again.

We had lunch today at the Cridfords Inn as a family group of 6. The service was warm, friendly and genuinely helpful. Great choice of dishes all freshly prepared. The food was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. It's lovely to come to such a peaceful location and be able to eat great food in such an ancient and interesting building.
