Inn at Truckee

This place is fine and it served our needs for an overnight near the ski resorts. The room is small, the ceilings are low, the walls are thin, and the staff was not overly welcoming. The continental breakfast was sufficient- although the refrigeration in the rooms and lobby was OK- so my yogurt wasn’t as cold as I normally like. I did appreciate that the Inn was close to a McDonald’s, CVS, and pizzeria. I would stay here again, but it wouldn’t be my first or second choice.

We wanted a place with close access to snow. Place is a bit dated but very clean and had comfortable beds. Water pressure of shower was good. No hairdryer (but I also didn’t ask to see if the front desk lends the out). No elevator, but not an issue for us. Close to stores and restaurants/cafes.

Forgot a hairdryer & went downstairs and the desk clerk handed me one. No problem. Close proximity to restaurants. I don’t think it was working but I did miss the espresso/latte from the coffee machine. The continental breakfast was handy too.

Clean room, friendly staff, convenient location to go skiing in Sugarbowl. A bit pricy but I guess thats market eceonomy...

Did not feel safe at all spending the night. Around 10 pm a random girl tried to get into our room and tried banging on the door and claiming it to be her room. Tried to call the front desk but found the phone in the room was not working. Around 1am yelling and screaming was heard in the hallways and eventually leading to screaming outside of the inn. Kept hearing a girl cry “she took everything. She beat me…” and some guy said they would call the police. The police came, but wasn’t able to hear the conversation but I’m never staying here again and absolutely do not recommend this place. Also another note the receptionist said our room number out loud in front of other guest instead of pointing to it on the card holder. Either sketchy or not good at their job.

Basic hotel, but great for what we needed. No frills in the room...not even a hair dryer, but it was clean and again, good for our one night stay. There is a coin operated washer/dryer, which I didn't factor into our booking but after a day of skiing, that dryer was a welcomed sight. Helped me dry off all our gear quickly before the next day. Breakfast was minimal, but again enough for what we needed. My kids thought it was great with the cereal and muffins. Staff was friendly. Location is great honestly with relation to food options and CVS near by. You could walk to restaurants if the roads are bad, which gives me peace of mind when booking. Will stay there again.

The room was clean, and staffs were courteous. Breakfast was awesome. The location is near ski resorts! I wish the hot water were warmer and the sound insulation is thicker to blockout the highway noise.

Place is OK. Stayed here twice for skiing. Beds are comfortable but that's where it ends. The acoustics are horrible. Can hear everything from the hallway like kids getting up and running around at 6am. The heater is on the loud side. Staff is friendly enough. Included Breakfast is gross microwaved gas station food. No seriously. That's what it is. You have to microwave it yourself.

nice helpful staff, The inn is "dated" and could use a facelift, but it was clean and centrally located
