The hotel is clean, the staff lovely, the rooms fairly basic but fine. It is a 3 star hotel, so it can be noisy if you’re unlucky with your neighbours, which we were for a couple of nights. There are several steps up to the hotel. Breakfast is the usual buffet style with everything you would want both savoury and sweet, but it is the stunning view from the terrace which is just fabulous. We had a room with a shared balcony, divided into more private areas, although we could see and hear everyone. The “private” areas led onto a roof top open to the four rooms on that side - again with super views. It’s a 5 minute walk to the centre. In the opposite direction is a pharmacy and a few shops. There is free street car parking next to the hotel or turn left and there’s parking down the hill and next to the church at the bottom. Alternatively there is plenty of free parking in Via Croce, which is at the back of the hotel but you’ll need your satnav to help you find it via the one way systems. From the Via Croce parking, walk down the wide steps, turn right up the hill, right at the top and you’re just a few yards from the hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Worth taking a boat trip, but beware when jumping in the sea from the boat as the sea can be “fresh”!
