Willing Resort is by far the best hotel we have visited in Bhutan. The view is out of this world, and every detail from the lobby, to the rest areas, bar, restaurant and rooms have been carefully crafted. The bathrooms are very modern and built to a high quality finish. The atmosphere is idyllic, and the staff are very friendly. The food was also great, plenty to choose from, either local or western. We were also lucky to meet the owner who is very welcoming and hands-on. We will definitely be back someday.

We ended up at Willing Resort by chance, and we did not regret it. It is the best hotel we have stayed at in Bhutan. The owner has worked for international organizations and has an excellent sense of blending Scandinavian design with Bhutanese style. The views from all the rooms, as well as from the restaurant, bar, and lounge, are absolutely stunning. The food in the restaurant is the best we have tasted, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and cozy to sit in. It is pleasantly warm everywhere, even in November. The owner is present and engaged, employs local staff, and purchases vegetables from the nearby village that the hotel is named after. We would happily have stayed a few more nights. Yes, there are a few minor imperfections, but they are far outweighed by everything else the hotel offers. If you are traveling to Bhutan and want to stay somewhere truly comfortable, ask your travel agency to book this hotel. We give it our warmest recommendations.

The rooms are large suites, very comfortable, with a superb view of the valley and the Dzong. A bath tub on the balcony allows you to enjoy the view while relaxing after the day visits. The restaurant is incredible! Superb food, well presented. Maya and Ugyuen are enhancing the experience with a smiling, customized, incredible service. The Manager is always present to help or guide. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Stop at the Waterfall cafe for a beautiful view of the Waterfall and a good coffee.

Such a lovely place Beautiful location Very friendly staff Had a walk and chat with the owner Mr Pema Namgyel . He was so approachable, friendly and took us for a walk to the village. Met his family. Such lovely people Would highly recommend every traveller to Bhutan to spend at-least a couple of nights here A warm, welcoming and hospitable place

We spent my birthday at Willing Resort, and it was an experience we’ll never forget. From the breathtaking views to the beautiful rooms, everything felt peaceful and special. The food was delicious - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The team went above and beyond with their kindness and attentiveness, making us feel truly cared for. If you’re visiting Bhutan, this is the perfect place to relax, celebrate, and experience genuine Bhutanese hospitality. Highly recommended!

This great hotel is located above the town of Trongsa, offering a magnificent view on the town itself, the valley and the dzong. The facilities are extensive with a nice swimming pool, a beautiful garden, a bar, several lounges are à nicely decorated restaurant. Food from the buffet is very good. The rooms are modern, spacious, clear and offer a great view. Bathrooms are extremely well equipped. Service is nice, attentive, personalized and friendly.

We booked one night here and , unfortunately , our stay coincided with bad weather which didn’t allow us to fully enjoy the hotel, although it must be beautiful on a sunny day , especially thanks to its location , on top of a hill , where the view over the valley below is said to be spectacular. Due to its location , ongoing road construction and poor weather conditions , reaching the hotel proved to be quite challenging We were kindly upgraded to a comfortable , warm and very clean suite which we appreciated . Unfortunately , the constant rain and thick clouds surrounded the hotel for the entire duration of ur stay, preventing us from enjoying what is surely a remarkable view over the Dzong and the valley below. Probably due to a big group of asian people Dinner and breakfast were buffet style :good , though not exceptional Anna an Francesco from Italy
