Pousada Capim Santo

We had a wonderful stay at Capim Santo. All of the staff who work at capim santo are wonderful from the car service to the breakfast staff, the cleaners to the door staff. In particular Joao on the front desk was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help with recommending beaches, arranging a massage and helping with various requests. The room was relatively simple but spacious and relaxing with a spacious shower. We enjoyed the time we spent on the hammock in front of the room. The location of the pousada is perfect - in the center of Trancoso’s pedestrianised center. The breakfast included delicious fresh fruits and eggs each day as well as a rotating selection of cakes, pancakes and savoury items. I also recommend eating at the restaurant, it was one of our favourite meals in Trancoso. My two recommendations to the management would be 1) the swimming pool already has lovely sound of birds singing and wind in the trees, it is not necessary to play loud music as well, especially Ed Sheeran. 2) provide advice about how to drive to the pousada from Porto Seguro. Google maps recommends various routes, we didn’t know which one to take and ended up taking a ferry and driving on a dirt track. If you don’t pick the right capim santo vehicle entrance Google will also send you on roads in Trancoso that are not open to vehicles. The drive took almost 3 hours and was one of the most stressful drives of my life!

Beautiful landscaping and design. Near restaurants and attractions. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great food. A little bit on the expensive side but in line with prices in Trancoso. I would recommend this hotel since you won’t find anything better within this price range. If I went back to Trancoso I would certainly book a room with them again.

Really lovely hotel. About 20 rooms spread out through lush tropical gardens. Our room was big and very clean, with a lovely outdoor bath. It easily fitted two adults and our two young sons. The hotel has a lovely restaurant and pool. The staff were all lovely and super helpful. They can organise massages on site in their massage room too.

We stayed 1 week in Capim Santo as the last destination of 1 month Brazil! It was absolutely perfect! From preparing our trip to our arrival and during out stay the staff is extremely kind and professional. They make you feel at home. And they were so nice with our baby (11 months). Capim Santo is a green lush tropical get away, we were so relaxed. And on top of that they have the most amazing breakfast and restaurant! We loved at and will be back!

Trancoso is a special place, where the coolest Brazilian people spend their summers. And if there is one place to stay in Trancoso, it is Pousada Capim Santo. A quiet gem just a few steps away from Quadrado, the bustling center of the town with great restaurants and stores, Capim Santo is the perfect place for you to relax and be treated to the great vibes from the people of Bahia. The human aspect of this place is what makes it special. From the always smiling, sweet ladies that welcome you during breakfast, to the amazing always available concierge Gustavo, the Capim Santo team embraces you as part of the family. I want to go back now!!! lol

O hotel é realmente lindíssimo, um paisagismo surreal. Na data que fui a pousada estava cheia porém pela estrutura do hotel não se vê tumulto. Um agradecimento em especial a Ana e João que foram extremamente simpáticos e solicitos. O quarto é delicioso, roupa de cama de qualidade e todos os dias deixam uma jarra de agua no quarto. Café da manhã dos melhores que já provei. Area da piscina merece um dia todo para aproveitar, água quentinha e bar com comidas e drinks deliciosos (caipirinha de abacaxi com capim santo é surreal). O hotel tem uma atmosfera muito sofisticada sem perder o aconchego. Cada cantinho tem um charme. Gentilmente conseguiram nos proporcionar um late check out, foi muito bom para curtirmos um pouquinho mais desse paraíso. Mais um detalhe que vale destacar é a qualidade dos amenities, realmente são muito bons, meu cabelo ficou lindo com o shampoo e condicionador. Outro detalhe do quarto foi uma pequena necessaire de uma collab da capim santo, um mimo a mais que é gostoso de receber.
