Stover Lodge

We had the absolute pleasure of staying with Estelle & Steve for 5 nights, and I can honestly say they are the greatest hosts we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble — I have mobility issues, and not once did I feel like anything was an inconvenience. Steve even went as far as helping me load my mobility scooter into the car — that’s the level of care and kindness they showed throughout our stay. Our ground floor room was beautiful: clean, fresh, with lovely bedding and the fluffiest towels. In fact, the entire place is spotless and clearly cared for with pride. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. Now, the breakfast… OMG! I’ll attach a photo, but honestly, I challenge anyone to eat it the second it arrives — it comes out piping hot and freshly cooked to order. Steve is a master in the kitchen, and nothing was ever too much trouble. I’ll be honest — B&Bs were never my first choice of accommodation, but that’s completely changed now. Thanks to this experience, we’re already planning our next visit to see Estelle & Steve again very soon. We had a fantastic experience! The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely decorated — a perfect place to relax. Breakfast was truly five-star — delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Be sure to try the stover roll — it’s an absolute must!
