Nethway Hotel

Our Christmas stay at The Nethway was memorable for a fantastic break. From the moment our coach party arrived we were welcomed by Gary & Julie our hosts & all their staff. We were pampered ( we stayed in the lovely honeymoon suite) with tasty 3 course meals, an afternoon high tea, buffets, good entertainment & a trip to the theatre (which Gary paid for). The staff even lined up to wave goodbye to us (or maybe to make sure we were going ☺️ ) We’d love to visit again. We highly recommend a stay there.

Gary and Julie are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. Food was really nice, christmas dinner was excellent, afternoon tea on boxing day and a trip to the theatre all included. Lovely Hotel I would recommend it to anyone. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean. All the staff are friendly, the entertainment every night was great. If I came to Torquay again I would stay at the Nethway.

My wife and I got married here in May. It surpassed all of my expectations and was the most wonderful day. We had family and friends stay in the hotel the night before and put on a BBQ, which was a great way to start the weekend. The wedding day couldn't have gone any better and we had beautiful weather whilst we were married outside in the garden. The wedding breakfast was possibly the star of the show (alongside the bride...). The evening party was a lot of fun, it started raining and still everyone had an amazing time, keeping everyone on the dancefloor. I would highly recommend this venue for your own wedding/parties, you will LOVE it!!

Wonderful 5 day holiday with Highcliffe coaches. Great entertainment food fabulous.Gary and Julie a lovely friendly couple. 3rd time here will definitely be going again.The rooms are very cosy and a lovely view from balcony overlooking the sea.

Before reading my review i have to mention that i do not leave bad reviews normally but i have to say this was one of the worst places i have stayed in and i do travel and stay in a lot of Hotels through my work commitments. Firstly I booked a room online and when arrived my room was changed without notifying me as i specifically didn't want bunk beds in the room for my older children. I brought this up straight away but there was no apology or an offer of another room as a bus trip had arrived and that was the reason for the room change! It was said i had an upgraded room so waited to see the room. The room was awful (23) with handles on the doors in the bunk beds room off and looked like they had been vandalised, no door on the wardrobe which could fall apart if touched, the bedside lampshade was falling apart, shower was very small with no room to move and had no power at all and temperature could go from cold to burn your skin off by a millimetre turn of the switch (The Wife and Children did not use the shower on the stay!) All plugs were coming off extension leads with a 3 plug socket coming from them which i turned off at night for the fear of fire hazard. Breakfast was cold and rushed! The final straw was having no sleep due to the Mattress and springs coming through into my backside and back!! I did address all these things but nothing was done. Also after speaking to some of the people that came on the bus they complained also about similar things with there room and had a plumber try and sort the shower in their room but without any luck and they couldnt wait to get back on the bus to get home after 4 nights of stay, so this is not an isolated issue by any means. I booked this Hotel after reading the reviews but as mentioned above have to admit this was one of the worst Hotels i have stayed in.. (I hope all rooms in the Hotel were not like the one we stayed in?) 2* Hotel tops!!

Went there in a coach trip with edwards,second time we stayed here.the owners and staff are great and are always friendly and helpful.room was clean and entertainment,drink and food was good would not hesitate to come here again.close to amenities and buses stop outside hotel if required
