I stayed once already when I had a good experience, and now I returned with my boyfriend. I booked a double room on Trip.com. When we arrived for the check-in the lady told us they cannot accept the check-in as my boyfriend is a Toronto resident. We supposed to stay for one night only and there was simply no flexibility in approving him, even though I had my foreign passport and I took the liability of the room. After this situation I tried to request full refund as this was nowhere stated on Trip.com that Toronto residents are not accepted in the hostel. The refund request was not even answered. On site we were told that this is stated on their website, but I feel it unfair to start checking their website once I do the booking on Trip.com. I paid 107 CAD for this room where they didn't allow me to check in, and we found an alternative accommodation for 194 CAD, as it was already late in the evening and there was snow storm. I was really disappointed and will never go back to this hostel.

There was good location and nice environment, but bathroom is not clean.

fancy location, near Chinatown; the staff is quite nice and free towel is provided; Large baggage can only by stored in a tiny space located downstairs. Overall, it is a good choice for people who are backpackers or looking for a 1-2 day stay

The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and modern amenities. Staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in smooth and offering excellent recommendations. The breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of variety. Overall, it’s great value for the price—would definitely stay here again!

The location is quite far away from the transportation, but it is just right next to the Chinatown.

WORSE HOTEL EVER IN THIS SITE, HOTEL BEHAVES VERY RUDE TO GUEST WHILE CHECK IN. EVEN DONT GIVE CHECK IN FINALLY AND ASK GUEST TO LEAVE THE HOTEL DUE TO NOT HAVING A CREDIT CARD PRINTED HIS NAME ON IT. THEY NEED A CREDIT CARD TO CHARGE A REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT BUT AS GUEST DONT HAVE A CARD BUT HE HAVE CASH SO HOTEL DIDNT ALLOW GUEST TO CHECK IN. ITS TOTALLY ABSURD. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

Dirty towels (I can see people's hair on them), no elevator, even I have to wash the plates of breakfast myself. Noisy, by the way.

Extremely unexpected unsocial uncivilized staff behavior. Especially the lady at reception doesn’t know how to be treat customers. Ethically and professionally need to be training that staff. Overall I highly NOT recommend this place but only if you want to ruin your trip. Thank you.

It was quiet for me. a bit cool but the bed was warm and comfortable. nice location for restaurants. some poor people in the area but its like this everywhere, never felt unsafe was not asked for money. breakfast ok breads and cereals coffee tea fruit. no eggs or meats. i cant complain its cheap. some moths in kitchen. id still stay again regardless.

It was fine. I arrived a little late and left early so I can't say much about it. But the bed was comfortable and it was nice being in the old section of downtown. Good walking around area.
