Sonder the Elm Apartments Downtown

I found a quiet and peaceful environnement. It simply felt like home to me. Everything was neat. I loved the art design in my appartement. I fell in love with the body wash from a company named DEDE that was for my use in the bathroom. They had a reed diffuser in the entrance so that It smelled nice when you came in. The climate was not set on AC when i arrived and that is brilliant and on cold nights i could easily warm the whole place quickly. I will definitely look for a Sonder on my next travel.

I booked the Sonder on Elm for one week while in Toronto on business. I arrived early and needed somewhere to leave my luggage. As I didn't want to pay the $40 to check in early (considering no hotel does this if the room is clean and available), and there is no elevator, I lugged my bag down two flights of stairs to the luggage storage area. Then 4 hours hour later lugged it back up 4 flights of stairs. I tried to get customer service to waive the fee as the room was available but customer service abides by the "policy" and won't help you. I should have knows there was an issue when I walked into the bedroom and there were two sets of earplugs sitting on the night stands! Room 202 has two homeless men with who live directly outside the window (this is only a 2 floor building) that woke me up nightly screaming very loud profanity for over 30 minutes at a time. In addition, this facility is across from a hospital so there are a lot of ambulances at all hours of the night. In addition, the heating and cooling system is very loud as it come on and off all night. The bed was extremely hard foam, very unlike the majority of hotels that use a comfortable pillow top bed. The sink in the bathroom clogged at every use - it needs to be fixed. Overall, it is a nice facility, fairy clean, but I wouldn't stay here again. I barely slept all week and wouldn't recommend this place if you value your sleep.

Ideally located in downtown Toronto...easy access, clean space and comfy beds...plenty of space for 2 couples...great 24 hr. convenience store located below the Sonder. Jimmy's Coffee down the street makes a fantastic brew!!!

Laundry and dryer in my hotel room. Better than any hotel in Toronto. Huge apartment. Huge bed. Fast Wi-Fi. Booked directly through sonder app and got a bigger discount. Stayed at many sonder locations around the world and I love this company. Me and my wife only stay w sonder now. Amazing. Highly recommend

This was our 3rd Sonder’s stay. We appreciate the consistency in cleanliness and appeal. Location at 159 Elm St was ideal for walking. 20 min to the Royal Ontario Museum and 20 Mins to the waterfront.

We had to leave our home in PEI for a medical procedure in Toronto and booked 159 The Elm and hoped for the best … well … we got more than we hoped for ! The suite was so clean and modern … the king sized bed was welcoming with freshly ironed sheets … how often do you see that ! My husband was very comfortable and was ready to go back home in a few days. I want to thank Sonder for taking the worry out of our “digs” … we were so very satisfied !
