Viceroy at Ombria Algarve

Our first trip to Portugal wanted to stay in a luxury authentic Portuguese location, away from the built-up areas, but near enough to make use of all the Algarve has to offer. The Viceroy at Ombria did not disappoint... From the moment we arrived at this hotel, to the warm welcome, we knew we had made the right choice. The property is simply stunning with lots of locally made authentic products to give this a uniquely Portuguese feel. Our accommodation, a deluxe valley view with a balcony, was lovely, a huge bathroom with a large freestanding bath and separate shower room. The outside balcony, large, and we enjoyed our evenings, sitting out on the balcony, sipping a glass of wine watching the sunset. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the accommodations, with only a couple of rooms per floor, it is very private and quiet. Within the rooms, a huge comfy bed, lots of storage space, lots of space to store your luggage. We really loved all the high-end touch screens to control the lights and ventilation and the authentic locally sourced Portuguese products. We really enjoyed the breakfast at the Ombria Kitchen, a lovely selection of hams, cheese, pastries, and fruits, oh and the freshly squeezed orange juice, divine. We also had a couple of evening meals. They made every effort to meet our dietary requirements, and the food and service again was superb. Service from the staff throughout was excellent. They really went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasurable one. Thankyou

Ombria Algarve is a great place to visit. Not just for golf players but also for people who just want to relax and enjoy good food. We went for walks in the area, did stargazing, and joint the complimentary yoga classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. So enough to do if you want to spend a week in the Algarve.

Great service from all the personel during the entire stay, facilities were sufficient, real good beds, high quality for the entire room and with really nice views. Breakfast was sublime. Too bad the wellness was not build yet but it promises to be very good also.

One of the finest hotel experiences my wife and I have had. Staff is extremely warm and welcoming, we enjoyed meeting them all and learning about the history of the area from them. The facilities and rooms were top notch with high end design and spotlessly clean. The restaurant served meals that were some of the best we’ve had anywhere! Magical experience, can’t recommend enough.

Mid November, we stayed one week at Ombria with our family, and this was really an unforgettable experience. The hotel and residences are brand new and built as a small village on top of a hill. Really impressive. From your apartment, the pools and the terraces you have an amazing view on the surrounding hills and golf course. You can really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the inland Algarve, while the beaches are only on a 15 minutes’ drive. The rooms/apartments are fully equipped following the highest standards and the hotel personnel is super friendly, service-oriented, and English speaking. Although the resort has one of the best golf courses in the region, this is also a perfect place to stay if you are not a golf-addict. The hotel organises lots of activities and the region is also a perfect location for hiking or mountain biking. For our family this resort is an unforgettable experience, and we look forward to returning here again.

Heading back on Sat 16th for our 2 nd visit of many .. lovely touch - manager there to greet you on arrival .. stunning high quality bedroom & magnificent bathrooms - faultless 5* accommodation , staff all very amendable and super friendly .. suberb gym & Equally as luxurious as the Conrad ..
