Right in the heart of Shibuya crossing. Ask for the view facing Shibuya crossing and prepare to pay for the upgraded view. Not suitable for private drivers for airport transfer if you are engaging them because most of them do not know how to get to the level 5 hotel entrance from the Shibuya mark city bus station except for 1 driver who asked around for directions. Got vending machine, ice cubes machine,coin operated dryer and washer for 100yen domination.

Always our top choice when traveling to Tokyo, the Shibuya Excel is conveniently located near everything, including JR Shibuya Station, the Metro, Narita Express, and the Airport Bus. There is a supermarket in the basement where we can buy fresh, high-quality Japanese fruit. The hotel is situated right in the heart of Shibuya, with just a minute's walk to the world-famous Shibuya Crossing. Choosing this hotel is a decision you won't regret. We love it!

Booked a room with 4 beds. Relatively spacious with round table in middle plus 4 chairs. Has to rearrange a bit of furniture to keep 3 big suitcases opened. Toilet was separate from bath with a sink, so was convenient as well. Only weird thing for me was that shower and sink area was also covered with carpet. Bedding’s and towels were clean. Would’ve been better with larger rubbish bins. I only requested room cleaning for garbage removal. Otherwise not necessary Location is perfect, right in front of Shibuya crossing and on top of subway lines. Love it here!!

Not my first time staying here and as usual, they don't accord complimentary early check in, even when they have availability. They are truly a 3* that's pretending to be 4* but charging rates of a 5*. Paying through the roof just for the location. The rooms are dated and small, yet having paid over SGD340 per night for a single room (1 super single bed), and the entire room came with just 1 powerpoint socket. I'm further disappointed that having stayed here almost annually for 5 years in a row pre-covid, they've never bothered to track my preferences and I really dread a room far away from the lifts where I have to drag my heavy luggage through carpeted flooring and dragging my feet after a long day of walking. Goes to show how much they value repeated guests. The front desk staff have lost their smiles except for the 2 younger ones managing the luggage storage. The staff on the day I checked out were a little friendlier but yes, don't expect complimentary late check out either. Room is also only made up upon request, if you fail to place the magnet on your door before 12nn, it'll not be cleaned.

Loved this hotel, highly recommend especially if you want to be central at Shibuya crossing. Central to everything and trains not far away. Clean room and staff friendly.

Friendly staff who are always ready to help. Location is very convenient to nearby shopping malls and subway station. Breakfast was good. Room is clean with daily cleaning provided.

Excellent location and room

The location is amazing and can't be beat. Despite being quite old and the design is a little dated, it is very clean and a good size. Loved my stay of 11 days.

The hotel is at a great location, minutes away from the centre shopping area and also train stations. Hotel resturant is also very good, with nice and reasonable priced food with a great view overlooking Shibuya busiest cross road.

Sent email prior arrival, not very helpful and they specifically mentioned they do not have concierge service, which is sad to hear as I visit quite often prior Covid, they were happy to help with everything, now they would just say they are not able to help 🤷🏻♀️ The location of the hotel is definitely 5 stars! Right in the middle of the city, it’s so convenient to go around for shopping or food Room size is quite small, but not a big deal since we spend most of the time out. But would consider trying other ones next time after seeing the change of service over the years 🥲
