Everything is acceptable, location is very good, have a macrowave in the lobby, suitable for family with kids .

Just a decent hotel. Not the cleanest and nothing good / bad about it. Security is slightly concerning at night

Very conveniently located with just a stone’s throw away (less than 5 minutes walk) from Ikebukuro Station (one of the major train interchange in Tokyo) East North Exit. The hotel is a bit dated but well-maintained. We stayed in a Casual Twin Room (smaller of all Twin Rooms) and though the room size was rather small, we didn’t feel uncomfortable nor claustrophobic. Service was friendly and prompt. The best part was a Fanily Mart convenience store right below. There’s also a 24-hour Ichiran Ramen about a minute walk away so you’ll never go hungry.

1. Upon check-in, we discovered many long strands of hair on both beds underneath the bedsheets. It was disgusting. We also saw a long strand of hair dangling from the supposedly clean bath towels that rested upon the multi-towel rack above the toilet bowl inside the bathroom. We subsequently observed that the chambermaid did not vacuum many of the rooms whenever guests checked out. So this hotel definitely does not live up to the Japanese reputation for cleanliness. 2. On the second day's morning, we requested the chambermaid to give us a new bath mat. She looked Caucasian but couldn't understand spoken English or read Japanese when we used Google Translate. So she proceeded to clean our toilet bowl and change all the towels in our bathroom, even though we were going out. What horrified us was that she placed the new towels on the toilet bowl cover while she removed the used ones from the multi-towel rack. Toilet bowl cover! And the new towels were dangling over it and in contact with parts of the toilet seat and toilet bowl. She did the same thing again the next day when we only asked her for a new trash bag. 3. There's a mini park right across the hotel where many smokers would congregate and smoke every evening. The wind would blow their annoying thick cigarette smoke in our direction whenever we entered or exited the hotel. That's not the best hotel greeting nor welcome.

Surprisingly the hotel is quite good! Location is awesome! just 5 mins away from JR station. Close to everywhere!

We use machine to do self check in. Hotel room is small but clean. The location is excellent.

Room is spacious. The bed and bathtub are big and clean. Location is very near to the train station. We enjoy our stay in this hotel.

For a 3-star hotel, this room offers great value for money. The location is very close to Ikebukuro Station, just less than 5 mins walk away. There are so many restaurants and stores in the vicinity. In a 3-guest room, there is even an extra sink outside the bathroom, which makes things easier for 3 girls staying in the room together. The room may not be large, but it's cozy and comfortable. The hair dryer is excellent; we all wanted to buy it because it dries hair very smoothly and leaves it feeling silky.

You can go to Ikebukuro station very easy. So many shopping places and restaurants nearby. Hotel staffs are good in service. However, there is only one escalator from ground floor to the lobby on the 2nd floor, which go in one direction during specific time. The breakfast is good. Worth to try.

Excellent Location, Comfortable Stay, Great Value! The hotel is in a fantastic location—just a short walk from both the Metro and JR lines. You can leave your luggage if you arrive before check-in time, which is super convenient. The room was clean and spacious—we could easily open three large suitcases at once. Staff spoke English well and there are self-service check-in/out machines, making everything even more convenient. The area around the hotel is right in the heart of tourist spots, with Don Quijote, famous restaurants, anime shops, and direct airport bus access at a reasonable price. Housekeeping was done daily. The bed was soft and cozy, and the bathroom was clean with a bathtub—perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. They also provided a hairdryer and sleepwear. I was really impressed, especially considering the price was more affordable than other areas in Tokyo. Super convenient and surrounded by everything you need for a fun and easy trip!

small room but good location. many shopping and eating around the hotel

The location of hotel is superb, right next to Ikebukuro Station with many shops around. Facilities is a bit old but generally maintained at a good standard. We are looking for a room with 3 beds, which is not easy to find. Compared with another hotel with 3 beds in Takadanobaba, the size of this room is larger so that we can open 4 luggages at the same time. The down side of this hotel is that there is only 1 escalator (width just enough for 1 person) from entrance to lobby, no elevator. Need to walk the stairs if the escalator is not working in the direction as you are going.

Highly recommended. Hotel was near to Narita airport bus Ikebukuro West, shopping, eateries,JR and subway. Super convenient and cookie point, there’s a family mart attached and full stocks. Hotel is located at level 2 with only 1 escalator ( haha) but the hotel staff can swift it up or down if you are with luggages. Hotel is dated but clean and comfortable probably because constantly refurbish or maintenance. Thank you to the hotel receptions and housekeeping at Daiichi Inn Ikebukuro. We will come back soon
