This hotel has a very convenient location, with four or five FamilyMart, 7-11, and Lawson stores nearby. There are also plenty of dining options around Ikebukuro, and some places close relatively late. However, the room is quite old and worn out. The lighting is very dim (not white light), which is rather harsh on the eyes. Additionally, the shower in the bathroom has a problem with its connection, making it impossible to adjust the angle—it just sprays directly at the wall, which is very inconvenient. Another downside is that instead of key cards, they use physical keys, and you have to hand them over to the front desk every time you go out, which isn’t very practical. Other than that, everything else was fine.

The location was quiet and good for Ikebukuro, but the bedsheets were not fluffy and there was mold on the ceiling. The staff was not very friendly... It's cheap, but it's not worth the price.

the room is clean. But no aircon ,during our stay. So we need to open windows and stand fan.

A very convenient and affordable hotel that's situated within a 10 minute walk to Ikebukuro station. The staff is friendly, the rooms are cleaned daily, and they contain bathroom and wifi. The only downside is there's no breakfast, despite the website claiming otherwise, but that's not really a big issue given the many food options nearby. There's a lot of advertisers and touts for activities of varying degrees of legality within the city, which you will come across on your way from the station to the hotel, ignoring them poses no problem, but it's something to keep in mind.

A bit walk from JR Ikebukuro station, however Fukutoshin Line's one is nearer. Compact room, but no matter sleeping and staying morning time.

The bathroom is slightly dirty - got black mold here and there. The room was hot, since they use central aircond. We have to leave the window open and turn off the aircond. However the staffs are all so friendly.

At this cheap price this hotel is best you can get. Everything was nice and clean, location of the hotel is more convenient, it is very close to important metro stations.

Good hotel for rest, clean room and bathroom, good service.

10min from the subway, in the heart of Ikebukuro, you can have anything you need. Room is a bit old but with a nice value. Would recommend.

quiet and cozy with friendly front desk. but just take note every morning before leaving the room key has to be kept before leaving. other than that it was all good

The front desk has a very good service; however, the hotel itself is kind of old. So it looks kind of not clean.

Can't say that the staff was pleased to deal with another foreigner, but it's a bad excuse. Good a/c, good wifi

A little bit disappointed given the inflated price I paid to stay at this hotel. Granted, I stayed over a weekend but it was definitely not worth near what I paid. The room is in much need of a refurbishment, very dated and very worn. The bathroom is tiny and the room needs better lighting. On the plus side, I found the bed and pillow very comfortable compared to others I have slept on in Japan.
