Park Lodge Hotel

Superbly located above the harbour and a comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The Room was smaller than expected and although on a higher floor as requested it was not quiet as it was above the main entrance and above the hotel car park. Breakfast was plentiful with great selection and surprisingly the Bar Prices were excellent for a Hotel.

Just spent three nights here on a motorcycle trip to Mull. Staff are superb and breakfast amazing, thanks to Silva in the bar for looking after us. Rooms and en suit have been modernised, the bar is lively at night. Only thing to look out for is the steep hill from the harbour up to the hotel.

Hotel was very dated and grotty. Rooms were very small, we had 2 cabin sized hand luggage bags and there was nowhere to put them in the room. All the floorboards creak all the time. We were woken several times by people just walking around. We could also hear people using the toilet and also talking as the walls are paper thin. This hotel needs some renovations to make it suitable for 2 people to stay in a proper sized room Staff were very helpful in giving directions etc.

Wasn't expecting much from this hotel as we booked last minute and wasn't a great deal of places around, but what a pleasant surprise. The staff went above and beyond to help us, we even requested another night, and the lovely lady in reception gladly squeezed us in. Lovely little bar and restaurant onsite, both reasonably priced, breakfast buffet was plentiful with tasty pastries, toast, cereal and fruit, plus a choice of cooked food. The lady at breakfast also helped us with our onward ferry, which had been cancelled, much appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again. The rooms were super clean and bed really comfy, just what we needed. Thanks again Park Lodge

The location of the hotel was the best bit. The hotel was tired and although we booked into a double room it was quite small. We didnt get much sleep as the mattress was very uncomfortable and I slept with a spring sticking in my back all night, the pillows were equally uncomfortable. The towels were that well worn they were very thin almost to the point of being threadbare. It was a very basic budget hotel with an expensive price tag for a nights stay!!!

This hotel was a disappointment. We stayed here for two nights after visiting Iona and Loch Melfort. The doors outside reception give no indication as to the fact reception is inside. When you walk in it is so dark. You can also hear the tv blaring from the bar area. We were asked to pay for our room upfront which in hindsight I should not have done. Our room was on the first floor down a corridor where the carpet looked exceedingly grubby. The twin room was small and had an unpleasant smell. The windows were filthy and there were cobwebs. There were no tissues, no phone and very little information in the ‘welcome’ folder. The view from our room looked out into someone’s front garden and down onto the old rusted oil tanks. We only had one breakfast here despite it being included and we did not have dinner. We will not be staying here ever again. Stay at the Western Isles instead!
