Strandhotellet Vedersø

The place has been turned into a market stall, where you have to hackle to get what you've already paid for. Definitly not a hotel, more like a camping site, a travelling circus. The location is the very best, but since prices have doubled, and service has been halved over the last years - you do the math.

Arrived at the hotel at about 4:00PM on our bicycles . No one at front desk to greet us initially and no way to contact anyone . Finally two ladies came to the desk and carried on an animated five minute conversation with each other without acknowledging my existence. In time they resolved their dilemma and with some of my gentle probing one of them acknowledged me . Gave me our room key and told me to follow the halls and I would find the room . After ten minutes of wandering finally found the room . When asked if there was indoor bicycle parking available i was told “No, just park the bikes around the corner next to the kitchen staff entrance.” It was only when I walked around there that one of the kitchen staff told me where there was a room to park the bikes . In all fairness , the room , though out in the “back 40” was clean , bathroom was clean with toiletries, bed was comfortable. To cap it off upon checkout I could not initially find anyone at reception whom I could pay . The lack of enthusiastic personnel , lack of assistance and apparent lack of knowledge was the extremely frustrating part of our stay and I don’t believe that I would stay here again . The reception staff was extremely inhospitable either by design or in error but the net result was the same .

Wir waren zum 2. mal im Vedersö Klit Badehotel und kommen gerne wieder. Die Lage ist super schön, man ist mit ein paar Schritten am Strand. Der Empfang war sehr nett. Durch die Deutsch und Dänisch sprechenden Eigentümer verläuft alles völlig unproblematisch. Besonders lecker war das Frühstück, was sehr schön angerichtet war und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Zimmer haben eine gute Größe und man schläft hervoragend.
