City Hotel Tilburg

We planned to stay one night after a concert at the hall located close to the hotel. Our booking was cancelled without prior information. When we arrived at the hotel, no room was available or ready for our stay, despite our reservation on their website. We had to drive back home during the night.

We booked a triple room with a double bed and 1 single bed (option given). They called 24h up front and confirmed this on the phone. On arrival we had to pay the full amount up front for unknown reason. The room we got was just a double room and had only 1 double bed so our son had to sleep in between us. The double bed however was just made of 2 single beds moved together. The lightswitches and phone were installed between the two single beds so when moved together they are horribly placed in the middle of the double bed. Our son got the phone on his head twice during the night. When noted to the staff they replied: “we thought the child would be smaller so a double bed was enough”. They did not even offer to put up a bed. There were two of everything, not three. Note that every night there was loud music and people shouting until 4 am. The breakfast buffet was very limited and the provided pastry and bacon was black/burned. During our stay we noted a lot of mold in the bathroom which was never cleaned. At the end of our stay they offered to refund partially from the triple to a double but “they could not do that right now”. We have never heard from them since. They charged for three and delivered for two. Horrible experience.

Nice people, reasonable room, but appallingly loud music from nearby bar which goes on till 4am, even on a Thursday. Earplugs didn't block it out. The beat was easily felt through earplugs and pillows.

Vandaag werd de reservering, die ik een half jaar gemaakt heb, plotseling geannuleerd. We hebben hier eerder geslapen na een Ayreon concert in 013, en waren toen al niet te spreken over het ontbijt. De enige reden dat we weer geboekt hebben was de goede nabijheid bij 013. Dit is de laatste keer dat ik ze de kans geef om de vorige slechte ervaring goed te maken. Volgende keer zoek ik het een na dichtstbijzijnde hotel. GEEN AANRADER

anlässlich einer Radreise übernachtete ich im City Hotel und wurde herzlich begrüßt. Wie abgesprochen konnte ich mein Rennrad sicher abstellen. Ausreichend ausgestattete und sehr saubere Zimmer. Schallschutz leider nur ausreichend . Man hört das Leben auf dem Heuvel Platz und die Kirchenglocken deutlich. Tipp: Zimmer nach hinten in den Hof buchen und auf die schöne Aussicht auf den Heuvel Platz verzichten. Zufriedenstellendes Frühstückbuffet
