The setting was spectacular - at the foot of the Brazos Cliffs with lots of acreage to roam, including a private lake. The cabins are a wonderful blend of historic character and charm and current conveniences. Philo, the manager, is friendly and accommodating, making the overall experience a very pleasant vacation.

The cabin was clean and well stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed. It was below freezing each night, but the temperature in the cabin was warm and cozy. Deer wandering through the cabin area was a treat.

Corkins is paradise. The setting is magnificent; the skies are dark and full of stars; the river is beautiful; and the stuff of normal life seems very far away. Beautiful forest hiking and the fishing places are so scenic, even if you don't catch fish, which are pretty smart here.

Another relaxing visit to Corkins Lodge. Love the peace and quiet of the canyon and the beauty of the forest and dramatic cliffs. We enjoyed hiking and just hanging out. A great place to de-stress. Can’t wait to return.

We stayed the Juniper cabin at Corkins Lodge and it was an amazing mix of rustic charm with modern appliances and great lodge decorations! Our view out our window was beautiful and we saw several deer stroll by each evening! We loved the swimming pool with gorgeous views of the cliffs! We also played outdoor games like bocce ball and horseshoes along with enjoying their game room and a rousing game of Ping Ping. Our host even had board games to take to our cabin on the one afternoon it rained. We loved the nearby fishing lake and mountain trails. One trail ended at the river and a treehouse with two comfy chairs with a spectacular view! If you enjoy peace, nature, and getting away from the hustle and bustle, this is an amazing place to stay! Only drawback was it was a little warm during the day in our cabin so we lounged at the pool!

Best vacation ever! Cabin was perfect and had everything we needed and all we had to buy was our food! Hiking trails, scenic views and reading cabin was great! The mountains surrounding the cabins were gorgeous and it was quiet and peaceful in the evening! This was our 2nd time to stay and will be back!

Everything was exactly as it was advertised except the views and location cannot be adequately described, they must be experienced. The cabin had a perfect rustic feel but with modern amenities. The fishing and hiking was superb as well. Would recommend to anyone who wants a getaway in the Northern NM mountains.

This is my third visit to Corkin's Lodge and was able to bring almost the whole family this time. Everybody, young and old, had a great time. We fished, hiked and just enjoyed each other and the beautiful scenery. It is a quiet, relaxing place on private land, so you can feel safe and secure. The cabins are rustic, clean and well maintained with all the moderm conviniences. I'm sure we will be back and highly recommend it.

You get here and never want to leave and you never need to either!!!! There is something for everyone in your group to enjoy. It is so laid back and so beautiful. I almost hate to give them a truthful review because I want to keep the secret to myself :)
