Westfield House Farm

Just returned home from a couple of lovely nights away, hit was really nice had everything you needed which was great, had an issue with the water out 1st morning was sorted within 10 minutes thanks to Tim who is a great bloke. Will be back for another stay

Just came back from a one night stay in Leveret. We booked the early check in and received a text to say our hut was ready earlier than the 1:00 check in which was great and well worth it. The hut had everything we needed and more as well as a lovely welcome basket of goodies. Towels, robes, slippers and toiletries were also provided. The views from the hut were amazing. We sat watching deer, hare, rabbits and different birds. The hut was lovely and cosy once we got the fire going. The hot tub took about 3 hours to heat and was absolutely gorgeous once we were in. It was so nice sitting listening to the birds and we put the outside lights on when it got dark. The tub retained its heat for hours. The bed was so comfortable and we had the best nights sleep. In the morning it was lovely to sit outside and have a coffee. Everything for the log burner, hot tub & camp fire was provided as-well as a box of extras supplied if you needed them very reasonably priced. We can’t wait to go back

First of all I was pleasantly surprised to receive 4G coverage on my phone after expecting no signal. We also found the wood burning stove very efficient to the point we were so hot we needed to open the door and windows- packing loose summer clothing would have helped so that's my tip even for winter! There was snow on the Simonside Hills which made for a beautiful walk but appropriate footwear and clothing essential. The Curlew hut was well equipped with more than enough space for two. The breakfast pack was delicious and meant we didn't have to worry about transporting chilled items and the prosecco and birthday banner were lovely additions. Nearby Rothbury was lovely to explore on check in day with earlier check in available. The bathroom was very chilly but on the second day we left the bathroom door open as soon as the stove was lit and that helped. A very peaceful and relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings.

I think this may be my 5th year visiting the Shepherds Huts and I have never been dissappointed. From initial booking to departure, Emma and Tim are helpful and welcoming. The huts have everything you could reasonably expect (actually exceeds expectations in my view). The beds are comfortable, the layout cleverly maximises your space, and the setting is superb. I have stayed for a romantic break, family holiday, an girls trip. I would also not hesitate to stay alone (the peace and quiet). I definitely recommend.

We stayed in Demoiselle shepherd’s hut in early July. The area is so peaceful and private and the hut had everything you would need. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. On the first day we walked up Simonside Hills (although had to abandon because of the wind) and on the second day walked 20 minutes into Thropton and got the bus into Rothbury. Emma and Tim are great hosts and our stay was faultless.

So peaceful beautiful location. So many thoughtful finishing touches like dressing gowns, toiletries, bread butter, milk and tea. They even had hot water bottles, even though we didn't need them because the log burner keeps the hut so toasty. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I've slept on in ages. The hot tub was fab, we hit lucky to get a beautiful clear sky night, never seen so many stars. I have recommended to everyone I know and definitely can't wait to revisit. Thanks for such a lovely stay.
