Wow - what a wonderful place and fabulous setting with a plethora of beautiful outside seating areas to enjoy the landscape and river. We stayed in room 2 and it felt like every little detail was thought of. The place was clean and well equipped and we had the most wonderful 2 night stay here. If only we didn’t live so far away, I’d be back again in a flash. I can’t recommend this place highly enough if you are visiting Sequoia - it’s only about a 10 minute drive from the entrance to the park. Hosts also very helpful when we needed local advice! Easy check in and the stay was comfortable and in a great location. The room was clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The river front view and walking distance to towns restaurants were also a bonus. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

June 2023 We highly recommend staying at the Rio Sierra River Resort. Mars is a very attentive host and her recommendations really enhanced our stay, from family river rafting with Mountain Descent to gourmet pressed sandwiches at Sierra Subs. Our family of 5 stayed at the Birdwatch Cottage which was very spacious and airy for everyone. Our kids really enjoyed playing several days at the private sandy beach, connected to the rapid river on the property. My husband and I love enjoying bagels and coffee on the balcony, overlooking the river. The property allows you to get into the water and right up next to the river. Such a special location. It was easy to enjoy both the south and north ends of Sequoia National Park from the riverhouse. My teenager son loved hiking the trails inside the National Park. There is good wifi on the property so you can stay connected to your heart’s content. Happy staying!!

We stayed at this resort for 3 days and 2 nights. When we arrived, the sight of the river perfectly matched with the wooden tables and chairs. As the nights arrived, the beds were fluffy and comfortable. Even though we were a long way from home, the sights and the garden made it feel like we had lived here our entire life. It is not an exaggeration to say that this was one of the best hotels we’ve visited. The resort manager has been super nice and supportive, and provided us valuable information on the parks, markets, and restaurants locally. We were so informed and had a lot of fun during our trip. We love the stay so much and hope we will be back again soon!

We stayed two nights in the River Studio for our son's Sequoia wedding at Crescent Meadows. Every thing was more than perfect, When we arrived , as luck would have it, Mars, the owner, was on site and shared a great suggestion for breakfast in Three Rivers, The property is more than as pictured on their website. Beautiful setting . I did not want to leave. Would love to come back.

We spent three nights in the panorama room which is great!! Great view over the river, little terrasse for breakfast and dinner, access to the river. Check in and check out extremely fluid. Peaceful environment, quiet, very clean and nicely decorated. A bit expensive for the area but worth it!! It is also very well located, a few miles from Sequoia main entrance and from mineral king area. Would definitely come back !

We loved everything about our stay. The atmosphere was magic, the place tidy and very nicely decorated. However, the highlight was the beach on the river that we enjoyed really much. Mars was very nice and welcoming. We'll surely suggest an holiday here! Hope to come back soon...

We had to rebook 2 times due to Covid travel restrictions but Mars was super accommodating, and the wait was certainly worth it. We stayed in the Panorama loft apartment with great views of the river and was bowled over by the beautiful decor and facilities. Perfect for families looking for R&R after energetic days in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. The river was great for cooling off after sunbathing in the expansive grounds and we were lucky enough to be visited by a deer that sought similar respite. Cannot recommend this property highly enough and wish we could have stayed longer.

I was so surprised by this place. When I opened the gate to the front entrance it was breathtaking. The river is so gorgeous, it’s like something out of a Pinterest dream board. The grounds are immaculate and everything is perfectly quaint and cute. Nothing is broken or old rather charming and has a lot of personality. The inside is so much better than the pictures show. They really take care of the place and you can tell. It’s absolutely adorable. Service is top notch and I just can’t even believe we found the place. My kids had the time of their lives in the river. A dream one true for them! I stay all over the country in 5 star hotels and there was something so refreshing about this place. I hope it stays busy for them but I hope it stays a secret all at the same time.
