Celebrated my 60’s birthday at the Alpine Meadows Resort. My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised of the service, the friendliness and the professionalism of the resorts personal. From the receptionists, to the restaurant and even the landscaping crew and cleaning ladies where very friendly, professional and hardly noticeable. When talking about the restaurant, it deserves its own review and in my opinion a 5 star one. The food was so very good, that we may come back just for that. Besides the desert chef lady is second to none. I like to think of myself a connoisseur of Crème Brule, and the one she makes can only be found in 5 star restaurants in Paris. In my life I have only had 3 that where as good as that. The tranquility and serenity of the Alpine Meadows resort had the power to rejuvenate us, fill our batteries and reset our body and mind in only 3 nights and 4 days. Extensive walks, rowing over the lake and observing the rare turtles was a treat in itself. Closer to the end of our stay we had the pleasure of meeting the owner and knew immediately, why the resort is so well run, why it was so diverse and why it has this world class flair. And yes, the drive is somewhat challenging, but do take your time and enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature DO NOT go through Barriere - Barriere Town Road – Dunn Lake Road as Google describes it as the fastest route, but do take the Clearwater route to Dunn Lake Road. They are almost equally fast. Thank you Alpine Meadows Resort for the wonderful place you have created.
