Fairfield Inn & Suites Houston North/Spring

Pros: Comfortable bedding, plenty of drawers. Cons: One set of reading lamps over the bed didn't work and the fixtures were loosely attached. Rust on the two light fixtures in the bathroom, plus shower light was out. Two bugs found and some strands of long hair attached to the walls of the shower Had a stomper above us late at night and very early in the morning. Room located near the balcony and could hear front desk conversations along with other travelers and phone conversations. Surprisingly, had to put a $40 deposit for "just in case", but would be refunded in a few days--no mentioned of this charged when booked. If you stay more than one night, be sure to notify front desk if you want to have your room clean; otherwise, it will remain the same until you leave, I guess. In the bathroom, a chunk of wood was missing from the bathroom door frame exposing the sheet rock. The bathroom's exhaust fan made a loud screeching noise when it was turned on for several minutes.....bearings worn out? I can only speculate that booking this room through a website resulted in poor room assignment. The Marriott caliber did not meet my expectations, and I won't be returning to this hotel. Absolutely disappointed. I hope this is not a practice of hotel management in treating customers with sub standard accommodations by booking through independent trip websites. I

Stayed here for an overnight date night in Houston. Was not disappointed. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We came in from our date late and you had to have a key to open the front door, which is nice for safety. The TV screen was even personalized when you turn it on. Never seen that before! Bed was comfy and the pillows were great! Prices were very reasonable for a Friday night and such a nice place. Free breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again if needed.

The front desk staff was excellent. However, someone on the staff took or lost my very expensive medication after they assured me it was put in a safe place. The manager does not communicate and only send a snarky response when I reach out for a status update. I contact Corporate and they contacted the hotel, which was unhelpful. They have been "investigating" since May, and it is now September! I was asked to provide a receipt for the medication which I did immediately, still no response other than "investigations take time". I am sure this hotel has insurance for these purposes or can afford to reimburse my $400. I had no problem with the hotel quality, but the lack of our accountability and responsiveness is extremely unacceptable and unprofessional.

We were there for my husbands fathers funeral. Our brother chose the hotel because it was close to them in The Woodlands. It is literally 50-100 yards from I-45. We had several extended family that also stayed at the hotel. I think 7 rooms total. EVERYONE complained about the road noise. Upon check-in, we asked for a room away from the freeway and we could still hear it with earplugs in at night. The bathrooms are old and moldy...they were disgusting. There is no way the toilet was properly cleaned before we checked in. I had asked for the toilet to be cleaned and no one ever cleaned it. It kept getting worse. The linens were old. I can honestly say that the staff was EXTREMELY kind and accommodating. Nicer than any place I have been in a very long time. Breakfast was fine for hotel fare.

First the tv was not working and when we called the front desk to question the issue, she told us to turn the TV on. My husband then went down to the front desk and explained how it was not working and she told us to reset it and then eventually moved us to another room. however, this room looks like it was not ready for guest. No complementary shampoo or so was available only clean towels thank goodness. both of the rooms have a musty odor to them and needed to be sprayed with air freshener. It was quite disappointing.

I traveled out here for a weekend getaway. It was in a great location, right off the highway. The room was spacious and clean. Front desk agent Wes and GM Mark we’re very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They gave us wonderful suggestions for places to eat. And we’re very knowledgeable of the area. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Staff was excellent, rooms were clean and modern. Elevators were fast. Breakfast was low budget and the hotel does not have enough parking to accommodate all guests as people had to park in all the check in areas overnight

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and are very pleased with our decision to stay at the Fairfield Inn. The evening manager went out of his way to accommodate our requests. We had a clean, spacious room (not facing I-45) and slept soundly.

Short trip for business. Arrived later than expected, was greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk. Room was as reserved. Breakfast next morning was clean, fresh and a nice variety. I'll be back when in this part of Houston again.
