The only thing I have to say is the TV didn’t work properly no sound to it & froze most of the time & the shower water goes all over the floor apart from that we had lovely quiet stay

All round a really nice place to stay. Very nice friendly staff. Very nice room. The addition of a fridge with fresh milk inside was very good. Very good place to meet for informal meetings and to have food etc. Food very nice and a good choice. Will stay again.

Didn’t stay, just had roast dinner. All food came out cold and they forgot some of the sides that you pay extra for. We had to ask for hot gravy to heat our food. Such slow service, took our bill to the bar to pay as they didn’t come to us so we could leave. Such a shame!

My friend and I stayed here during our visit to Highclere Castle. THE ROOM: The room was great. Beautifully decorated and very cozy. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. Our room was on the ground floor, and we didn’t hear any noise from other rooms. The downside was that the room was very warm even though we didn’t have the radiator on. We opened the windows while we were in the room, but it didn’t cool down that much. THE PUB: The pub was nicely decorated, and the food was good. Breakfast was already set up when we came in very early in the morning with a continental selection and we were also able to order off a menu for hot items. In the evenings the pub was cozy, but the music was way too loud. It was at the level it would be if the pub was packed, but there were less than 10 patrons. All in all a great stay, and the location was perfect for our visit to Highclere Castle.

Got their around 9.30pm,friendly staff although probably the most money I’ve ever paid for a bottle of cider and a rose wine with a spot of lemonade £16.85 I can still remember him saying it!!!!!!,comfy room and bed,breakfast was ok with limited choices. The place could do with a proper deep clean,full of cobwebs over the cushions at breakfast and clearly the floor hadn’t been cleaned since the day before at least,I’m not one for writing or even commenting on reviews usually,but when I’ve paid £110 for a night I expect more to be honest,and I still can’t get over the price of that drink.

A gem of an inn, we stayed for 2 nights sun to tues the room was fully equipped for your every need, the staff made us feel very welcome and the breakfasts and dinner were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time there. Only one minor negative was because it was a Mon they were out of some breakfast items such as mushrooms and black pudding. We will definitely be going back.

A lovely building in the middle of the countryside. Curt age to be exact. The beer was excellent however both nights most items were missing from the menu, and apparently had been for a while. So food was limited. My room was downstairs, every movement from the couple upstairs resonated in this room below. A bit awkward to listen to. Shower was good, that’s important. Breakfast was ok.

Second stay at The Bunk and cannot fault it. Nothing better on a cold January dry night to enjoy the hospitality and excellent food. Rooms are extremely well done with fantastic country views. It’s nice and simple but that’s what you want at a pub you instantly want to be your local. Food was excellent - great fish and chips and veggie burger. Great cocktails and beer selection. Staff incredibly friendly from check in to check out. Yeah there is always something you could find slight issue with but for value for money, quality, food, and hospitality The Bunk is absolutely spot on.
