Ttdc Hotel TamilNadu - Thanjavur

The property seems to be a heritage building that has been renovated. The interiors exude an old-world charm and the corridors are well lit and decorated with beautiful paintings. The room was spacious with all the required facilities and the food was good. An added plus was that we got to wake up to the sound of peacocks and we were able to sight a couple of them as well. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we recommend it to everyone who wants to stay in thanjavur.

Stayed in Thanjavur for a couple of days. The hotel first of all has a heritage feel- maybe it was a colonial era mini palace. There is a nice garden, well maintained. Room was huge with running hot water. Mosquito repellent was sprayed throughout the hotel. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. There is a speaker in every floor which plays Carnatic music creating a nice atmosphere. I have stayed in many TTDC hotels and this one is the best of the lot. The other TTDC hotels like the pathetic one in Trichy should learn from TTDC Thanjavur. Hotel was at walking distance for me (within 1.5 km) for all major spots including the Big Temple. Would love to come back here. Also good parking space available.

The room was spacious but bathroom was not clean. The room service people had previously left all the windows open so there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. Difficult to sleep in the night. They provided 2 small water bottles for the day and when asked for additional water mentioned that everything is chargeable. Very average experience in all.
