Cleaning could be a little better in the rooms and along with the general bathroom cleaning you would think would happen..

Fine dining at pub prices, best ever lamb shank with veg, mash and gravy. Dessert’s were amazing too . Staff were very friendly and a great atmosphere. Drinks were served very quickly and we were given plenty of time to choose . Will definitely visit again .

Beautiful building. Rooms nice but has to be remembered it's an old building so no air con or double glazing. Apparently resident ghost included tho we never saw him! Food is excellent value and the staff all so friendly and helpful, especially Jesse. We stayed during the Tewksbury Music Festival which is well worth a visit itself, so was a busy time, but nothing was too much trouble. Will be back.

If you are after a historic hotel with loads of character this is a place to visit. We stayed 2 nights, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Beth checked us in efficiently and then appeared at the bar and served us with our drinks! This hotel is opposite the beautiful Abbey which is well worth a visit. The river Mill Avon runs behind the Bell Hotel which unfortunately was in flood when we visited so the riverside walk will have to wait for a return visit! Its also within 2 minuets walk of the quaint town with plenty of period character and coffee shops/pubs to keep you warm.

Quaint old pub. Creaky floors and sinking bed. If stairs are a challenge there are no lifts. Food excellent though we skipped breakfast. Excellent staff team especially Drew, Jess T and Beth. Excellent 3 day stay opposite the Abbey and close to town.

Great room it has everything you need and stocked up daily . Excellent food very welcoming very friendly staff the staff doing bookings was fantastic she went up and above to help and sorted out tables and times very quickly and efficiently. Made my girlfriends birthday very special she was delighted be back next year cheers

The beds are so comfy and the bedding lovely. The breakfasts were superb and served by the nicest waitress, so happy. We had Sunday lunch and it was delicious and again the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and Molly the manageress does a great job! Will definitely stay again. Thanks Molly and co.

We recently stayed at the CAMC campsite with some friends and chose to eat here on the Friday evening (early). Turned up and the building is currently covered in scaffolding so didn't look that welcoming. Went to the bar and asked for a table and were shown to one straight away and looked after throughout our meal. We had no issues with any of the staff (and left them a tip) BUT the 'special offer' 2 meals and a drink for £25 was a bit hit and miss. No real ale on the offer and neither cider available. We found it strange to be offered 1 alternative cider but no real ale on the deal???? Anyway, the service was really good and the food was OK but over £7 for a glass of house wine was a bit out of order (clearly NOT on the deal)?! Not sure we would recommend or use again which is a shame because we had high hopes!

Very friendly greeting at reception. Handed a free parking pass and given all the information we required. Sunday roast was amazing and breakfast very generous. Room was very nice, bed and pillows extremely comfy and has a view of the Abbey as an extra bonus.
