Flynns of Termonfeckin Boutique Hotel

We had to wait at a gate while a surly employee (still eating her dinner!) came to let us in. The man at the desk was nice but his advice was worthless (about where to get a meal). He told us they were “having trouble” with the wifi but they were hoping to get it working in the next few hours (it never worked that evening or the next mornings). A review I read in their guest book said they had no wifi and that review was 2 weeks old! But at least the TV worked- oh no, that was another hotel! This TV was as bad as the wifi- never worked, just bands of pixelated color! Luckily we had things downloaded on our iPads. We did have a view of the little river that runs through the village. Unfortunately, the view also included a moldy caravan ! I have to say the breakfast was not the worst we had on our trip, but it came a close second. One good thing to report: the bartender gave me some ice when I requested it- I had to bring my own bag!

Unimpressed overall. In the area for a funeral. Checked in late in evening. Pricey room. No allowances made for very brief stay. At breakfast, on the menu, it said Clonakilty black pudding was served. It wasn't Clonakilty black pudding at all. I know what Clonakilty black pudding tastes like. Apart from that, breakfast was very disappointing anyway. Stay was an expensive mistake overall. & such a nice setting...

Clean, friendly, welcoming, comfortable ... You can't ask for more. This was the first night of our holiday in Ireland. It was brilliant, from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed. It was simply furnished in a personal way - nothing elaborate but everything clean and bright. Breakfast was a delight - the usual fare but all nicely presented and served in a very friendly way. This is B&B only, but it was perfect for what we wanted. Close to the beach too.

Flynn's is a beautiful traditional guest house. The surroundings are delightful and it is close to Tubbertoby beach. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Our complimentary breakfast was delicious. Secure parking was available. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely return.

We stayed for one night and found it to be in a location with little or no restaurants or bars in the area, those recommended at the hotel were either closed or not great. The hotel is very nice downstairs with a nice bar and large restaurant area. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed following Covid which is a real shame as it is a great space and there is little choice nearby. Our room was very small with a standard bed and was backing onto the centre yard where we could hear bar staff chatting during the evening into the night, so it wasn't particularly quiet. The bathroom was small but we did have a decent shower. The breakfast was good but service was very slow. There is plenty of secure parking. All in all it is a hotel that could be so much better and has a lot to offer.

I’m extremely concerned about all those reviews since my experience is far away from what’s described. Hygiene of the room is bad, there’s was hair from the person before in the shower and didn’t look like it has been cleaned. It’s SUPER dusty. The bed is old and hard. The restaurant is closed since covid lol, that wasn’t said too and believe me there’s NOTHING close no restaurants no grocery store , nothing. The receptionist is rude and not helpful. Easy to say that it’s one of the worst place I’ve stayed at. Won’t be back.
