Peter Allen Motor Inn

Beware of room 19 This was a standard motel. We upgraded to a king bed room but the shower was covered in mild. I complained to the manager and he allowed us to move to a standard room. The room had a clean shower recess and the bed was comfortable. I was told by the other manager that the shower in our original room had a leak and the shower recess had silicon treatment that went black with the hard water. In my opinion this room should never have been rented. We have not been offered a refund for the extra cost we paid for the upgraded room as we stayed the 2 nights in the standard room. Both rooms needed a proper clean as there was dust on surfaces and fans but the manager explained it was hard getting cleaners. The motel was in an excellent location being in the Main Street. The water in the shower was hot and had great pressure. The air conditioner was super noisy. It was a fairly quiet location.

Not what was shown in online profile. Smoking area for staff too close to room. Lighting and electric blankets faulty and hairdryer not in room although listed as being in room. Pillows need an upgrade

Perfect stop if you just need a bed and somewhere to have a shower . Room Was warm and clean nothing fancy but did the job .

the building was alright outside and inside the property was dirty. Windows were full of cobwebs, window sills and windows had never been cleaned and corners were all dirty. If the health department saw it they would close it down till it was cleaned up.

The Peter Allen is close to the main road in Tenterfield CBD but surprisingly quiet. Older style motel but in good condition and convenient to Coles and dining options. Comfortable bed and suitable for an overnighter.
