Communal Hotel Plekhanovi

Very cool looking hotel! Nutsa was super welcoming and friendly, she shared tons of recommendations for sightseeing & food. Whenever we needed help, she’s quick to respond & she always tried to sort out everything asap.

The hotel is amazing. Breakfast was incredible, rooms very comfortable. We asked for advice with renting a car. We got help from the receptionist called Nine. She got us a very good deal through a local dealership for far less than the car dealerships online and in town. We also got great recommendations for dinner next door. The best Georgian food we had in our 10 days traveling the country. We also got recommendations for a local market nearby. A great experience! Nine put her hear and soul into giving us an exceptional stay at the Hotel and for introducing us to Georgian hospitality 🫶

I have no idea how such a hotel has got a trip advisor award as it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Normally the highly rated hotels are good but this is bottom of the pile!! The location is really bad, middle of a decrepit neighborhood. nothing of interest close by. Reception - just a chair in front of main hotel entrance door with a laptop. In fact the whole hotel is run on one laptop is the feeling you get as its the most unprofessional place we had the misfortune to visit. The so-called suite overlooked a brick wall of the neighbor's building. Balcony not worth the name. First morning we were told breakfast in the room and had to let them know our choices from a list. Breakfast arrived late and piece by piece, even wrong items. Last arrival was bread, more than half hour after first item....by then coffee was cold as everything else. Staff in the restaurant were rude and disinterested. Rooms were not cleaned, and when we enquired why, we were told you did not request it!! I wonder if my review will be deleted as well, as another guest who has stated the truth, as our experience was similar. Trip Advisor has to seriously investigate this property on how it has been given this award otherwise they will lose credibility.

Great hotel! We walked almost everywhere in Tbilisi from the hotel. We spent New Years Eve at the attached restaurant and loved the meal! Breakfast was an amazing buffet with eggs available to order from the kitchen. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. We couldn't recommend the hotel more! There is a wonderful wine bar just next door that we went to multiple times as well.

This hotel was a total mistake . Unbelievably rude staff (George in particular although all staff were more abrupt than is normal for Tibilisi where abruptness is fairly normal). Really bad location - in a run down suburb and a 15 minute taxi ride to any of the major sights. Our room had a balcony that looked onto a brick wall as did all those on this side of the property. Had booked for 2 nights but left after 1 night. Probably a good choice for a 20 something urban explorer but for anyone who travels a lot and has un understanding of what good hospitality is, then look elsewhere. I can only conclude that some of the rave reviews have been written wearing rose tinted glasses or by friends of the staffs.

Blissful 8 days in this paradise . Beautiful property with wonderful and friendly staff . I would like to take a moment to thank Luca and Anna for being so warm and friendly. Luca was the first person I contacted even before my arrivals as I had so questions about my stay, he was attentive and accommodating. When we arrived he gave a beautiful surprise as it was our honeymoon, not to forget the lovely ladies in housekeeping with always a lovely smile and making sure our rooms are always clean and taken care of. The hotel breakfast is delicious. Saturday evening you can’t miss the dinner at the hotel restaurant, make sure you reserve a table as it’s gets full very soon . The staff at the restaurant are very welcoming George and Tengo. I highly recommend Communal Hotel for a lovely stay .
