Quinta do Caracol

What a wonderful place to stay. The staff is helpful and kind. Our room was unique - in a good way! The breakfast was wonderful - eggs, bacon, fresh OJ, and way more. The location was good for us. It took about 10 - 15 minutes to walk into town. Two grocery stores within 5 minutes. The grounds are gorgeous. And best of all, for my husband, there is pickleball on site. Highly recommend.

Quinta do Caracol in Tavira is a very nice place to stay. The houses in a traditional Portuguese setting are surrounded by a lovely garden. Supermercados close by as well as the station. The staff is friendly. An excellent breakfast is seved.

Amazing in the room Glicina Great breakfast, recomanded. Very good emplacement for visiting Tavira. A delightfull orange juice.Quinta do caracole is near from the center of the town,you don t need to mode you car to go to the old roman bridge

Tavira is a lovely town, and Quinta do Caracol is an even more lovely place to stay! The ten minute’s walk from the town centre to the hotel was no problem for us, and when we arrived and entered the grounds, we immediately had the feeling to be in a peaceful oasis. Beautiful small individual buildings, each containing one of the hotel rooms – all individually equipped and decorated, with air conditioning and a small kitchen corner, and each with a private outdoor seating area. Everything in the room was very clean and of high quality. I loved relaxing in the beautiful and very well kept garden, in the shadow of a tree on a sunbed. And I loved the three little romantic garden ponds and to watch the cute tiny green golden frogs enjoy the sun and then jump into the water. Breakfast is delicious, with scrambled or fried eggs made to order and freshly squeezed orange juice. There is a large newly decorated breakfast room and a nice garden terrace for breakfast as well. For the sportive ones: The Quinta do Caracol even has its own tennis court. The ladies who own this family run hotel are very friendly, very likeable - and they went out of their way to help us when we had a small medical problem (at a quarter to ten p.m!) . If I ever go back to the Algarve I would even make a detour, in order to be able to stay once again in Quinta do Caracol, and to enjoy its peaceful and romantic atmosphere.

Fabulous place to stay, spacious room delicious breakfast and a very friendly welcome, gardens beautifully looked after. Stayed for 2 nights in October, highly recommend- about a 10 minute walk into tavira and the river, quaint little town with plenty of places to eat

A fabulous stay in this charming Quinta with many authentic features and well equipped for self catering. Lovely owners and staff who were always on hand to answer questions and help if required. Slept like a log in super comfy beds and finished off in the morning with a perfect breakfast. The situation is good, within easy walking distance, for two 70 year olds, of the centre of Tavira. Near the train station for journeys to neighbouring villages and towns and a stones throw from a good supermarket. We loved our stay at Quinta do Caracol.
