Coconut Beach Resort

A week in paradise. Spent 8 nights at Coconut Beach Resort with my son joining me for 5 nights. This was my 6th trip and my son's 3rd. I cannot rate this lovely little part of the world highly enough. Please read the other reviews here and also elsewhere. You will quickly find that they are all genuine, based on the love and detail that they provide. It really is almost too good to be true. Thank you Shueng and Alex, along with everyone else in the team. PS - bring your camera if you have one. You won't be disappointed.

This has truly been the trip of a lifetime, all thanks to Coconut Beach Resort and the incredible people who make it so special. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not just as guests, but as part of their Fijian family—and that warmth and kindness made all the difference. I visited on a family trip, but I also noticed that the resort is very popular with couples looking for a romantic getaway. Whether you’re traveling with family or a partner, Coconut Beach offers the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, and luxury. The rooms were fantastic—comfortable, well-appointed, and just steps away from the stunning beach and crystal-clear waters. The resort is also very walkable, making it easy to get from the rooms to dining, the beach, or snorkeling at the house reef. The food and drinks were absolutely fabulous—every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We looked forward to every dining experience! There were plenty of activities to enjoy, from scuba diving and hiking to beach walks, snorkeling, and even fun resort-hosted games and excursions. Whether we were relaxing or out exploring, every moment felt magical. Beyond the beauty of the resort itself, what truly made our experience unforgettable was the amazing staff. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome, cared for, and part of their community. Before we left, they told us we’d never forget Coconut Beach—and they were right. This place and the wonderful people here will stay in our hearts forever. If you’re looking for a serene, breathtaking getaway—whether for a family vacation or a romantic retreat—Coconut Beach Resort is the place to be. We absolutely cannot wait to return to our Fijian family!

We stayed at Coconut Beach Resort (CBR) for 9 nights for my wife’s birthday and had the most amazing time. Everything was perfect. The resort is set amongst the Yasawa Islands. The scenery is magnificent. There are countless reefs for snorkelling and scuba diving, all within a 5 minute boat ride. The house reef is also fantastic. The resort’s bures, large and very comfortable, are surrounded by immaculately maintained gardens. It’s a beautiful little corner of the world. But what made the holiday the best ever was the CBR team. They take hospitality to a whole new level. Everything they did was bang on and their commitment to ensuring all the guests had a wonderful time was never-ending.

2 nights at Coconut Beach Resort was not enough. This small resort is fabulous. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The food was out of this world. Presentation and flavor 10/10. Our bure was perfect and we loved the outdoor shower. We went on the cave tour which was amazing - just 25 min boat ride. Captain and crew were very safety conscious providing us with a safety briefing and asking us to wear life jackets for the boat ride. They run other excursions too and the resort is also a PADI dive centre offering guided diving and courses. Snorkelling equipment and kayaks were complimentary to use and I also booked a 60min massage which was very good. A perfect place to unwind. We will be back. Vinaka

I am a bit tardy in writing this review, but we had a fabulous time at Coconut Beach resort. From the minute we arrived, all the staff seemed to know your name and remember it. I had some food allergies and they were always on top of that, offering me a substitute. The bures were roomy with ventilation on all sides so you could enjoy the night breeze, or close them all up if you wanted. I loved the bathroom, also very large, outside, but the sink and toilet area had a roof to protect it from any rain. It was lovely to take a shower with the palm trees and sky above you. There is a combination of free and fee based activities. It was hard to choose as I wanted to do it all. You can snorkel right off the resort at their reserve, but have other spots close by to snorkel. The staff sang at most meals, and when anyone arrived or departed. The resort only has 11 bures, so it was fun to get to know the other guests. There were so many cultural activities that really gave you the flavor of the Fijian culture. (Saturday evening performance, kava ceremony, visiting a village and school.) We enjoyed the cave excursion. (If you do that one, take some cash to buy handicrafts. They had a great variety and very reasonable prices there.) I was so busy doing other stuff I never had a chance to take out the kayaks or paddle boards. The food was plentiful and a variety. (My favorite was the Fijian fish ceviche called Kokoda, could have eaten that every day.) There weren't a lot of salads, but being 4 hours away from the mainland by ferry probably has something to do with it. The staff is quite willing to alter something for your tastes, if you only ask. They also recognized birthdays and anniversaries with a cake and a serenade by the staff. The only downside to the resort is the wind, as others have mentioned. (But it makes for great sleeping temperatures.) We had a couple very windy days where you would not have wanted to lounge by the front of the resort, but they would move some of the lounge chairs to another side of the beach out of the wind. They also arranged to take a boat to a more sheltered reef on a windy day for people that wanted it. It was supposed to be rainy season, but we only had a light sprinkle for a very short time on one day. Also, Sheung, the manager or owner, was super responsive before our trip answering every question, and arranging all our transportation. We opted for a helicopter transport one way, as the timing of our flights didn't work with the ferry. It was a bit more expensive, but worked out really well and was a cool way to see the islands from above. We took the ferry back, and enjoyed seeing other islands. The resort was great, but the staff is exceptional, and we will cherish our memories from Coconut beach forever.

This resort exceeded our expectations in every single way. It is hard to convey just how incredible it is, but it’s the most personable hotel we’ve ever experienced. All the staff know all the guest names and everyone is genuinely interested in getting to know you as well as sharing their Fijian culture with you. Sheung and her team were so welcoming and always smiling. You really do feel part of the Coconut beach family and you can tell all the staff love working there and it reflects on the amazing service they provide. There are amazing activities booked every day for those who want to join (snorkelling, cave dive and a trip to the local school and village to name a few!) and a special shout out to Vata who made the activities so much fun. The hotel and rooms are spotless and the food is some of the best food we’ve ever had. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the island and there are paddle boards and kayaks and snorkelling equipment which you can use whenever you like. The value for money is incredible and incomparable to any other resort we’ve ever stayed in. If we are ever lucky enough to visit Fiji again we will definitely be returning to Coconut beach. We miss it already!
