Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Coconut Grove. Their hospitality, the setting, the accomodation and the food was all beyond our expectations!! We would definitely return. We wish we had stayed there longer, all of the staff became like family and were so accommodating with everything.

I loved this place, the ladies were very friendly and the food was excellent, I told them I liked it spicy and they got it spot on! The Bure was nice but could do with additional lighting, not a real issue but something to think about. Their recommendation for diving was very good. There is a new luxury hotel down the road but if I return I will stay here again. The views are spectacular

From the moment we arrived until we had to head home, the care we received was like family. Thank you so much for everything! Great accommodations! Relaxing room, nice bed, liked the outdoor shower too! Food was always offered with Aloha and was always super tasty! The staff was very helpful. Loved the slow vibe of Taveuni! Don't come expecting to be in a rush, (they will accommodate), but slow down and enjoy the beauty and friendliness. Would definitely return.

Taveuni Island is the heart of Fiji, and Coconut Grove was one of the best places I can think of to experience it. Only a 40 minute flight from Suva City, and then a gentle stroll along the coastal road to hospitality and comfort Fiji style. I stayed in one of the three villas (or 'bures" locally) on a small grassy hillside with the South Pacific ocean right on my doorstep. A private deck, an open-air shower and a comfortable bed with the sound of the ocean lulling me to sleep at night. The "ladies" led by Sarah and Flori gave me the genuine Fijian welcome that characterizes the islands, and made sure I was well fed with fresh fish and local vegetables in every combination you can imagine. Local taxi drivers took me to a variety of hikes and snorkel sites, and shopping at the nearby "Sun City" supermarket. Can't recommend this place highly enough - next time I'm thinking of Taveuni I'll be returning.

While we didn't stay at the Coconut Grove, we spent 10 nights in Taveuni and had breakfast and dinner probably half the time at Coconut Grove. The grounds are beautiful but nothing compared to the food and the ladies working there. Every single meal was absolutely delicious. If you go for breakfast, ask for the Brad Special (papaya cut in half with peanut butter and granola). I tried to get them to officially add it to their menu! A special shout out to Sarah and Fina!

Easily one of the best boutique properties that we have ever stayed at. Located at the northernmost tip of Tavueni you can see the sunrise from your porch and with just 3 cottages that are all well spaced out and with direct beachfront access, it's like having the beach to yourself at most times. Very romantic and relaxing, they definitely surpassed our expectations. It has been mentioned in several reviews before as well, but what the reviews state is completely accurate as the meals are superlative. We had all our meals at the resort and loved almost everything that was put in front of us. A special shoutout to the Fijian dishes like Rourou and Ika Vakalolo. It was our first time eating Fijian food, and these dishes blew us away. Finally a word on the beautiful staff - Sehra, Biu, Flori, and all the other lovely ladies. Over the course of our stay, they made us feel like family, and while everything else about the resort was amazing, it was definitely the warmth of the staff that made our stay here truly magical. Highly highly recommended. Whenever we do come back to Fiji we will definitely stay here again.
