We are 10 miles north of Taos, 5 miles to the closest hot springs, and c:a 25 miles to Red River and Taos Ski Valley. You can get around San Cristobal on foot, bike or car. There are plenty of hikes in the woods behind San Cristobal. Cell phone reception is spotty or non-existent in the valley. If you walk or drive up to the ridge the connection is good. Wifi is provided free of charge (located in the barn), but can be intermittent during rain or snow storms. If you have a smart phone you can set your cell phone setting to wificalling Absolutely no smoking in our cabins or directly outside the cabins.
