Casa Turchetti

Casa Turchetti exceeds all expectations. Pino and Francesca are the most welcoming of hosts and nothing is too much for them. The rooftop breakfast is a wonderful experience, the selection of fruits, pastries and home made cakes are excellent. Our room was beautifully appointed in a traditional Sicilian style and a very comfortable bed. The location of the hotel is central to the Casa Umberto but is far enough away to be quiet at night. We would not consider staying anywhere else in Taormina. Mike and Amanda

Book immediately! You will not be disappointed. The owners are warm, welcoming and proud of their beautiful B&B. You are treated like a family member. It is super clean everwhere. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh! The terrace is spectacular. Perfect position with amazing views. You only need to have your aperitivo here. For a nap in the sun or fresh air, the lounge beds are amazing.....new, clean and heavily padded for an extremely comfortable nap.

I have never written a review on any hotel before, but our amazing experience here has made me feel compelled to do so. Yes, the rooms were big, the beds comfortable, the room and the rest of the hotel impeccably clean. Breakfast was fantastic, with local Sicilian fruits, meats, cheeses, pastries and the like. The roof deck provided wonderful views of Taormina, and the happy hour drinks (especially the Aperol Spritz) were perfect. But what has made me write this review is the hospitality shown to us by the owners Francesca and Pino. They arranged transport to the hotel from the airport, helped us book excursions, and truly took hospitality to the next level. They were welcoming to my family, and made us feel at home.

We had the most amazing stay at Casa Turchetti! The hotel is located immediately off the main street up an alleyway of stairs. Our room was immaculately clean with a comfortable bed and wide range of toiletries provided. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, including fresh fruit and homemade cakes. My girlfriend is gluten and dairy intolerant - they very kindly provided gluten free toast and snacks, as well as soya milk for a morning coffee. The rooftop terrace was perfect for sunbathing in the day (with a shower to cool off), and to enjoy an aperitif in the evening. There are 360 degree views of Taormina including the hilltop church and Roman amphitheatre. Most special were Francesca & Pino's whole family who looked after us during our stay. They made us feel completely at home and were happy to do anything. We had to leave early on the last morning so they very generously provided breakfast to take away. We are already thinking about a trip next year to go back to Casa Turchetti!

Casa Turchetti is a charming Taormina hotel that is well located and very clean. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and includes homemade cakes and pastries by the owner of the property. The couple that runs the hotel are very proud of their hotel and have a desire to please their guests. The rooftop terrace is a lovely spot for breakfast or an afternoon glass of wine. It is an affordable option that offers a convenient location and an attentive staff.

Well, I can’t really say much more than what has already been said to be honest. This B&B is classy and is an old music school owned by Mr Turchetti which has been refurbished into the design of the times. Our bed in the ‘flute’ room was an original Spanish bed with silver plated frame and so very comfortable. I miss it The roof terrace is perfect for sunbathing or chilling if you have a day where you don’t wish to travel far Pino and Francesca are such warm and perfect hosts …. Nothing is too much trouble and their English language is fab! Francesca even offered to make lemon and honey to help with my husbands ‘man flu’ Breakfast was a lovely choice of scrambled egg, bacon, ham, breads, pastries, honey (which is the most honey flavoured honey I’ve ever had!) fresh fruit (strawberries are amazing!) , cakes, pancakes …. Something to suit everyone (even cornflakes!) . The only thing I will say, and this is NOT a reflection on the B&B, but if you are less fit or less mobile than the average person, there are a lot of steps and hills to contend with. It's hard to know where to start with this review, as our experience was quite simply perfect. Casa Turchetti is the definition of a 'hidden gem' and we are so happy we found it. You can't beat the location which can also be enjoyed from the stunning terrace with magnificent views of the bay, Etna and the famous Piazza IX Aprile. We enjoyed the terrace at different times of the day, whether in the day to sunbathe or in the evening for drinks (which were delicious). The hotel is beautifully traditional and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was the best we had during our 2 week trip around Sicily. The best part of the hotel though, without a doubt, are the owners Francesca and Pino. They are such special, kind, warm, beautiful people who genuinely want their guests to have the best time possible. The feeling they create is pure magic. The view from the beautiful terrace was unique. Best breakfast anywhere in Sicily, and great cocktails available late afternoon on the wonderful, with Etna in the background. Hosts Francesca and Pino were lovely hosts. Fascinating period style bedrooms.

This accommodation is in the perfect location off of Corso Umberto. This location makes it is easy to access everything in Taormina. Not only is the location perfect but the staff that run this place are some of the most authentic and genuine people. A wife and husband own and run the hotel. They truly want their guests to have the best stay possible. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast that is served daily is delicious and provides a multitude of options. If you’re looking to book a stay, this is the place to be at!
