Thalpe Bungalows

The place was nice and the villa was spacious and clean. BUT the hostess was the most rude and disrespectful person I have met in my life. She treated us like common criminals probably because we were not WHITE! We literally just walked in and she was horrible to us, and oozing with sweetness to the white couple who came in after us. We decided to let it go and not ruin our holiday and actually left the hotel to go another place and only came back to sleep. The next day she told us the people who own the hotel ( foreigners too) have told her to warn the locals when they walk in, not to speak loudly, not to have music not to have parties! Not to disturb other guests!! Do they think us locals/Sri Lankan’s are hooligans? Cave people that we have to be warned?? Funny thing is this lady is a Sri Lankan herself! She made a fuss and gave us a horrible breakfast. It is shocking! Im sure the owners never asked her to discriminate and treat Sri Lankans like this! We will never return to this place again and hopefully after seeing this post the owners and the hostess will treat locals with respect as we pay the same amount and we too ARE humans regardless of our skin color. The most horrible experience I’ve ever had down south.
