The best part was the location, a short walk from the Old Town Square. Room small, but managed well. Room small, but adequate and cheerful. Television had few channels. No CNN or BBC News. Only English channel Euro News had just a few headlines. No safe in the room, requiring carrying a key for reception area safe. Also, no refrigerator. Shower on bathroom floor with just a curtain was stifling. Staff terrific, especially Elena, but all women helpful and friendly. Manager responded to my review in another travel site, with my responses in capital letters: "Dear Michael, Thank you for choosing our hotel and for taking the time to send us feedback about your stay!I appreciate the high review score and compliments towards the staff. Actually we do have minibars in all rooms starting from Standard category rooms. It seems that you just did not find it in the room." (I DON'T REMEMBER SEEING ONE). "It is true that there are only few TV channels available and there is no safe in rooms. Actually our guests mostly do not watch TV as they are busy exploring the city. That is why we have not added more channels. In addition to that probably all guests have mobile phones or tablets which they can use to watch different channels so I guess soon there will be no TVs in hotels." (THIS RESPONSE IS ABSURD. MOST GUESTS SPEND TIME RESTING A BIT AND WANT TO WATCH TV, ESPECIALLY THE NEWS. SMART PHONES DO NOT PROVIDE THE SAME POSSIBILITIES. A POOR EXCUSE.) "We also hardly get any requests to use the safety box which are free to use and are located in the reception area." (MOST HOTELS NOW HAVE SMALL SAFES IN ROOMS, WHICH ONE CAN LOCK WITH PRIVATE CODE) "Welcome back next time! Sincerely yours, General Manager"
