Haadson Resort - Khaolak, Phangnga

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very satisfied with the stay. The hotel is located just a few meters from a lovely beach where you have access to deckchairs and parasols. The hotel itself appeared in several places very worn and with a lack of maintenance, but the nice location with a cozy jungle atmosphere and the fantastic swimming pool is a big plus. The room was large with a terrace and there was both aircon, a fridge and an electric kettle. Wifi worked quite well. The breakfast was arranged as a buffet and was absolutely fantastic. The staff always acted friendly and welcoming. Haadson resort is a hotel we would like to return to and therefore they also get our best recommendations.

Very nice resort in nature and only a few steps away from the beach. A little bit far from the main center but I’ve you’re looking for peace and quiet place this is it.

This was my most favorite stay by far and by long! The astonishing beauty of this place, the care taking of the staff that you see in the mornings. I would stay here again & again, to rest my soul and feed it good thoughts. Amazing beauty at this place thank you so much!

Good atmosphere , Natural around and next to the beach.

Ideel beliggenhed lige overfor en rigtig dejlig strand til svømning med børn og en kort gåtur fra en række markedsboder og ægte restauranter, hvor man sidder på bambusborde med fødderne i sandet. Beliggende i den bedste del af Bang Sak-stranden, fordi det er tæt på, hvor thailænderne går, ikke kun europæiske turister som 1-2 km mod nord og syd. Hotelfaciliteterne ældes lidt - nogle afløb lugter dårligt, tråddøre passer ikke helt, og poolbaren så ud som om den ikke havde været åben i flere år, men den er ren og personalet gør en indsats for at vedligeholde stedet. Vores tilstødende kokosnødværelser i fredelige havemiljøer med en god morgenmad fungerede godt for os. Aber høstede kokosnødderne, mens vi var der, og egern legede op ad træerne. Dejligt at være adskilt fra de større, højere feriesteder.

It is set up in a jungle it is very relaxing to stay. The beach is front is cleaned but needs cleaning. There are sun chairs but need maintenance The gardens are nice but need better maintenance. The bongolows are spacious with good showers but need repainting. The all place needs DIY and upgrading.

We had a very good 4 day break here. We rented a bungalow which was roomy with its own terrace. Good sized double bed, fridge, great shower room and a huge bath. The setting is gorgeous, the other side of the road from a deserted beach - but no sun beds. Water ways and a lake surround it and makes you feel as though you are in the rainforest. Beautiful - if it was cleaned up. Therein lies the problem. The whole place needs a refurbishment and the gardens/grounds need to be a lot tidier. It was probably OK before Covid and I sympathise with them, but for the money it should be a lot better. The breakfast was ok but not worth looking to eat there in the evening. Having said that there are four great restaurants outside within 100 yards. All the staff were wonderful and very helpful - English not their strong point but you can get by OK. It is a long way from Khao Lak so you need a car/bike. The area is well worth spending some time around, especially Takua Pa Old Town. The Tsunami museums are not great but still a must visit. We did enjoy our stay but feel that with a lot more effort the place would be really buzzing again. Would we go back? Possibly - as we loved the area and you could get a great dinner at the Mercure Resort (or the Meridien) if you wanted to push the boat out - as we did for my wife’s birthday on 8th February.

Sadly this hotel really needs love. it is run down, pool missing tiles plus no bar as advertised, and dangerous, loads of dead plants, electrical wires all over the place. restaurant empty BUT breakfast was good. so sad as used to be a wonderful little resort. remember there are NO TV's at this resort so its own company and lots of quality time.. that was perfect!
