Room was big with view of the Pearl River. Nice amenities, nightly distribution of fresh fruits, 24hrs front desk and very central location to shopping areas, restaurants and other shops.

More than 10 years ago, I stayed in Taishan Gaoye Hotel and was impressed by this hotel. It is a well established, well equipped hotel and within walking distance to the pedestrians mall and shops. I highly recommended this hotel for its convenience. It will be great if the lighting in the room are adjustable as it is a bit dark in my allocated room. The WC has better lighting than the room itself. I will still return to this hotel when I’m in Taicheng.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Gaoye. Was clean, nicely furnished, and big. I actually like the classic wooden furnishing. Stayed on a non smoking floor so that could be why it was nicer. Saw this in another review and it is true. They deliver fruits to your room. I will be back!

Location is right downtown and very good for shopping and eating at restaurants. Staff were not very friendly and they charged us 200rmb which was supposed to be returned after we checked out. The money was never returned.

I have stay in this hotel about 110 years ago. The hotel added a new wing which I stay this time. Although this is a room in the new wing,. Wear and tear appeared. The hotel should start to renovation soon to keep up the image.

The room was clean and big, free fruits every day, and the price was very cheap, worth it.

It was ok. The staff seemed friendly as we spoke the same language and dialect. Rooms can be cleaner though. Wifi didn't work that great.

Great location. It was great to have service staff that can speak the local dialect. My last visit to Guangzhou found only a few staff who spoke Cantonese.

Centrally located hotel. Provide basic needs. Our family enjoyed the stay.
