As a family traveling to the city, we chose Hotel Puri for its excellent location, and I have to say, it didn’t disappoint in that department. It’s right in the heart of everything — super convenient for sightseeing and dining, so we didn’t have to waste much time traveling around. That said, the hotel is located down a small alley, which can be a bit tricky to find at first, so make sure you have directions handy when you arrive. One thing to note is that there’s only one lift in the hotel. It’s not a big deal unless you're there during peak times — we found ourselves waiting a bit longer than expected, especially with kids in tow. So if you're on a tight schedule, that’s something to keep in mind. Now, the room size was a bit of a challenge for our family. We had a standard room and it was extremely small — it was difficult to even open our 25-inch suitcase fully, let alone have much space to move around. With kids, this was a little tight, and we had to get creative with storage for our bags and gear. Overall, for the price you're paying, you're really just getting a no-frills hotel with an unbeatable location. If you’re looking for more space or a luxurious stay, this might not be the place for you. But if you’re okay with a modest room and just need somewhere central to rest your head while exploring the city, it works.

The hotel’s location is excellent, as it is close to both the MTR station and major tourist attractions. The MTR station exit has an elevator, which is very convenient for travelers with large suitcases. Although the room has no windows, it doesn’t feel cramped. The room is quiet with no disturbing noise, and overall it is fairly clean. If I have the chance, I would stay here again, as the price is quite reasonable.

We booked a triple room for 2 of us so the room is big enough to put and open our luggages with no issue. The hotel is located near Ximen Station exit 6, walk toward Watson and turn right into the alley after the Tomorrow Hotel.

2 of my travel mates got bitten by bed bugs. One ended with multiple nite marks.

Nice location. Near XiMen station. Transport with MRT and easy to go anywhere in Taipei.

The last day of the trip me and my mom got different room from a few first day. And the room was in the first floor, it is very noisy. We can barely sleeping. The worst stay ever 😞

Location is good but the facilities are quite old (can still hear noises from other rooms), room area is small and cleanliness is only average (can still see hairs on the bed after asking for room cleaning service, so not sure did they really changed the bed sheet). Overall, there could have better options with this price.

Great location. The room layout was a bit unusual, and the furniture felt slightly dated. However, the hotel fulfilled all my requests and patiently answered all my questions via LINE. Thumbs up!

Location is actually ideal but u need to push yr luggages through the small lane to reach the hotel entrance which is not very convenient. The laundry service has only one washing machine and a tumbler dryer which is restricted from 9am to 9pm. The pillows smell and bed is very soft. I supposed it’s more suitable for youngsters but not elderly people

This is my second stay at this hotel. The location is convenient, just 3 minutes away from Ximen Station, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again when I come to Taipei next year.

The location is great, right in the heart of Ximending and close to the metro station, so it was really convenient staying there. However, here the pros of this place end. The room was ok, really basic, but it didn't match with the photos of what I booked. First of all, it didn't have a real bathroom, but the sink was in the room and a sliding door covered either the toilet area or the shower. The toilet area was so small that I had to use it with the sliding door opened, otherwise my legs wouldn't fit (and I am not so tall to justify it). The situation was manageable because I was alone in a double room, if I were traveling with somebody else then it would have been impossible to accept. Moreover, maybe the moquette on the floor was not the best nor healthiest decision if you are not able to keep it spotless clean. Only one girl of the staff was nice and helpful, the guy was really rude. The check out was at 11 am and he started calling me in the room at 10:30 pushing me to leave earlier, and he then called again at 11:02 when I was already leaving the room with the luggages. I understand that was a busy day, but I believe that this behavior was really disrespectful towards a guest. Overall it's not good value for money (and it wasn't that cheap), I didn't have a horrible experience but I was not satisfied and I wouldn't recommend it.
