Staying at MEANDER 1948 felt less like a hostel and more like a hidden gem designed by someone who truly understands what travelers need. From the moment I stepped in, I could tell this place had personality—warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. The cozy sleeping pods were like little personal retreats, with great lighting and just the right amount of privacy. I may or may not have considered moving in permanently. The bathrooms and showers? Immaculate. Like, “I wouldn’t even hesitate to walk in barefoot” kind of clean. They were well-maintained, spacious, and stocked with everything I needed. A true blessing for anyone who’s ever had a questionable hostel bathroom experience. Then there’s the common area, which was basically a social butterfly’s dream and a tired traveler’s sanctuary all in one. Whether you wanted to chat with fellow adventurers, get some work done, or just chill with a cup of coffee, it had you covered. Speaking of coffee—huge shoutout to the coffee machine. It wasn’t just a machine; it was a daily lifesaver. MEANDER 1948 absolutely crushed it when it came to comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful design. It’s the kind of place that makes you rethink ever booking a boring hotel again. If you’re heading to Taipei, do yourself a favor and stay here—you won’t regret it!

The location is very great. It is surrounded by local restaurants and is near Taipei mainstation. The room, bathroom and toilet are clean. Hotel provides gift vouchers to allow you to try local foods 😁 😁

Really convenient location close to the main station and Beimen MRT. The hostel provides breakfast vouchers. The laundry facilities are more expensive (120 NT for wash and dry) than other places I’ve stayed at but the machine is very quick and efficient.

Just few minutes walk from hotel to Taipei Main Station and the AirPort Express line. There are many restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast voucher is given, I can try different types of local breakfast within the few days stay.

Great spot, very close to MRT and airport express, spotlessly clean... Curtain to close your cubicle to get privacy, all in all very good stay

I love everything about this place. We got voucher for breakfast and it’s really convenience especially during CNY as all stores are closed. Overall 5/5

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The location of hostel is good and convenient for all types of public transport from bus, metro and AirPort Express. Good place to explore for shopping and food. The cleanliness exceeds my expectations especially the shower and toilet. And the common area is clean and nice too! Lastly the meal voucher is really a bonus

Loving the common area with power plugs and a small pantry, enjoying the larger space rather than inside my bunk bed The cleanliness is 👍 shared bathroom and toilet, no crowding issue although there's only 2 X 2 of it. Location wise, is by the end of Y zone, exit via Y13. But the area is convenient, with lots of eateries nearby, the most convenient one will be a 7-11 directly under the building. Another thing I like about the place is the breakfast voucher provided, so you can enjoy food at nearby eateries, love it!
