George Albert Hotel & Spa

Delicious Christmas lunch , plenty of it with everything you wanted for a traditional Christmas lunch .. Friendly fun staff , the venue was decorated with Christmas decorations which were super and perfect for the hotel. Santa was great and gave the children a gift , which they thought was magical.

Last Sunday 24th Nov we went to the George Albert Hotel for a Sunday Lunch. The staff were great Sienna and Hannah helped us with the menu and Billy served us with good advice on the meals. The food was really tasty and I recommend it wholeheartedly. We will certainly be going there again in the near future. Thanks to all Mike, Sue and Janet

Today we went for the Sunday Carvery. It was very good. Excellent service by waitresses Jenny and Tina The same for the chefs. Looked after so well by everyone including the manager Stephen who greets everyone..So impressed we have booked for Christmas lunch and an overnight stay....

This was our first time visiting The George Albert Hotel and Spa. I was able to book a table for 2 for the Sunday Carvery easily over the telephone. On arrival we were greeted by the General Manager Stephen, who was smartly dressed I a suit, polite and down to earth. He showed us to our table and pulled my chair out for me - a true gent! The service staff were dressed smartly and took our drink order straight away and gave us our Carvery ticket. Beef and Pork were the meats available, I had both and my husband had beef - both were delicious. The chef/server was chatty and smiley. There was a good selection of vegetables to accompany the fluffy, crispy roasties - swede and carrot mash, roasted parsnips, very cheesy cauliflower cheese, green beans and parsnip puree. The Yorkshire puddings were divine as was the rich, tastey gravy. There was even pork crackling and parsnip crisps! We didn't have a dessert as we were too full up but they looked delicious! An excellent Sunday Roast for £18.50 each in very clean and well decorated hotel with very attentive, happy staff. Stephen gave us a tour of the hotel and it is definitely somewhere we would like to stay and try out the spa.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. We held a 2 day business meeting for over 20 people. Good meeting room and space, Great food, great waiting staff in the restaurant. Comfortable, clean, spacious rooms with with room to work. All in all, a nice surprise.

Arrived today for Sunday carvery, Very nice food I thought very tasty beef and the pork very succulent, although my wife is gluten free they were excellent in their choice and knowledge off available choice to which she could have basically almost everything on the menu. Carvery only £18.50 pp. Although drinks a little dear.all Said we will go back again staff very attentive and helpful.
