It pains me to say how amazing this place is as everyone will want to book! Stayed 2 nights here and all the reviews are right it is as good as they say. Bill and Michelle are friendly and so attentive, nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely want you to have the best stay possible. Room was immaculate, shower room spotless, soft towels, comfortable bed and lovely feather pillows. Breakfast was fantastic, you fill out a little menu card and leave it out the night before. We loved this, it means you sit down and in minutes exactly what you ordered arrives. The most beautiful, perfectly cooked poached eggs, thanks Bill, everything on the plate was good quality, special mention to the sausages!! Michelle really cares that you enjoy it. We’ve stayed lots of places in Swanage over 25 years and have never had people really want you to be happy and catered for,it is clear that this is more than a job to them. We will definitely be back, if they’re not fully booked!

Stayed here for a couple of nights and plan to return in 2 weeks time. Lovely welcoming B&B, perfect central location with easy free parking. Very well appointed comfortable and quiet rooms. Beautifully and tastefully appointed common areas. Breakfast was excellent- very tasty with quality ingredients and very well cooked and presented. Warm, friendly and very pleasant owner who made me feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room (2) was very clean, beautifully decorated and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast choices were great and all freshly cooked. Coffee was gorgeous. The location is perfect: a few minutes walk to lovely restaurants and pubs. A quiet location. Michelle and Bill are excellent hosts. Very welcoming and knowledgeable regarding walks. We walked to sandbanks, a 10 mile walk, and Michelle explained a slightly different route which was superb. Also recommend walking to Corfe Castle. Beautiful. Thank you for making our first trip to Swanage memorable. We will return. Paul and Linda

We stayed at Taunton House for two nights whilst finishing off walking the South West Coast . A beautiful house, the rooms are tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. En suite shower was lovely, and with tea and coffee making facilities we had everything we needed. Breakfast was made from top quality ingredients and was plentiful, sets you up for the day. Bill and Michelle are very friendly and welcoming hosts (despite being a Spurs fan). Really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend Taunton House and will definitely look to book there again if we return to the area.

We stayed at Taunton House on our first visit to this seaside town It is a beautifully restored house that is clean and comfortable The hosts, Michele and Bill run their business very professionally and were very friendly, welcoming and only too ready to ensure our visit was an enjoyable one It is in the heart of Swanage therefore very convenient for visits to the town and the beach, both of which are moments away We found the car park very useful and could leave the car there off the street without worry Wonderful, freshly cooked-to-order breakfasts got us off to a good start each day We would definitely want to stay here again on a return trip to Swanage

This friendly and welcoming b&b is in a quiet area with a very short walk to the town. The hosts are lovely and helpful. Car parking was no problem at all, free street parking on the quiet street behind the b&b. Our family room was immaculate. You select your breakfast in advance for the following morning. It was beautifully cooked. The hosts shared their local knowledge and gave us advice on what there is to do in swanage. We loved our weeks holiday and would recommend it.

Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean accommodation, with fab breakfasts. Hosts Michele and Bill are extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very cosy, comfy and clean, and the location gives great and easy access to nearby shops, restaurants and the seafront. There are plenty of places to visit in the area - We stayed within a 30 minute drive and especially enjoyed exploring the coastline and wildlife. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

This is the 5th year we have been coming here I say we it started with 2 Labradors but now is 4 Labradors and we are always made to feel at home nothing is too much trouble and my dogs know exactly where they are staying . I love all the little details and Bills breakfast are Amazing Very happy doggies too!!
