Taunton house is a lovely place to stay , great hosts , breakfast is excellent, rooms spotless and comfortable. Great location, close to beach

We had a wonderful few days staying at Taunton House, Michele and Bill were so hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. A good choice of breakfast options were available and it was ready at the time we asked every day. We’d definitely recommend this place to other travellers.

Lovely B&B with a friendly host. Gorgeous room with a 'sea glimpse'. Excellent quality bed linen and towels etc. Very nice breakfast.

It pains me to say how amazing this place is as everyone will want to book! Stayed 2 nights here and all the reviews are right it is as good as they say. Bill and Michelle are friendly and so attentive, nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely want you to have the best stay possible. Room was immaculate, shower room spotless, soft towels, comfortable bed and lovely feather pillows. Breakfast was fantastic, you fill out a little menu card and leave it out the night before. We loved this, it means you sit down and in minutes exactly what you ordered arrives. The most beautiful, perfectly cooked poached eggs, thanks Bill, everything on the plate was good quality, special mention to the sausages!! Michelle really cares that you enjoy it. We’ve stayed lots of places in Swanage over 25 years and have never had people really want you to be happy and catered for,it is clear that this is more than a job to them. We will definitely be back, if they’re not fully booked!

We had a wonderful stay here. The room (2) was very clean, beautifully decorated and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast choices were great and all freshly cooked. Coffee was gorgeous. The location is perfect: a few minutes walk to lovely restaurants and pubs. A quiet location. Michelle and Bill are excellent hosts. Very welcoming and knowledgeable regarding walks. We walked to sandbanks, a 10 mile walk, and Michelle explained a slightly different route which was superb. Also recommend walking to Corfe Castle. Beautiful. Thank you for making our first trip to Swanage memorable. We will return. Paul and Linda

We stayed at Taunton House for two nights whilst finishing off walking the South West Coast . A beautiful house, the rooms are tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. En suite shower was lovely, and with tea and coffee making facilities we had everything we needed. Breakfast was made from top quality ingredients and was plentiful, sets you up for the day. Bill and Michelle are very friendly and welcoming hosts (despite being a Spurs fan). Really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend Taunton House and will definitely look to book there again if we return to the area.
