Star Hotel

The location is 5-8 minute walk from the center and French quarter, although not bad located it’s a bit dark at night. As a solo traveler it was bit uncomfortable returning alone by foot. The receptionists are very nice and sweet. My room was clean and comfortable although a bit old not bad at all. I did have a few ants here and there. Overall for just 1 or 2 nights it is not a bad option given the price!

Hôtel bien situé et calme. Services réception, location scooter très bien. Personnel accueillant et à l'écoute. Grande chambre lumineuse. A recommander.

Stayed for one night as part of an organised tour in December 2023. Our tour guide had made us aware that the hotel was fairly basis but it was only a one night stop, so that didn't really matter much. The hotel is right in the middle of town and the lobby has a very ornate wooden front desk, with some chairs and local artefacts. Check-in was quick and easy and they requested that keys were left at the front desk when you leave the hotel. Our room was on the second floor and there's no lift so be prepared to carry your cases. The room was a good size for two with ample space for suitcases etc. The beds were fine to sleep on and everything was a bit dated, but clean and functional. There was a wardrobe, desk, small flat screen TV and a fridge. The bathroom was a just a wet room, but the shower worked okay with hot water and okay pressure. We slept okay as the room was fairly quiet and had a fan. The hotel didn't do breakfast so we got some food from the local market. There's also a very well stocked small supermarket about a 1-2 minute walk away so you can get whatever you need there. Overall a basic place, but the staff were really friendly and helpful so definitely worth considering for a good value stay.

The good Staff is nice and it’s a good location for walking around and to the market Hotel lobby is pretty cool Rooms and amenities were basic. No breakfast included as is in many places Room was old and had a weird smell that took some time to get used to but we all know that things are just starting to get back to normal so hopefully that improves

We arrived in Phnom Penh at 4 pm & straight away went to Virak Buntham bus station to get to Battambang. However, 11 pm tickets were unavailable so we took the 8 pm sleeper bus. I was told that we might arrive at 3:30 am, so I immediately booked Star Hotel through Agoda. We arrived in Battambang at 4 am & Star Hotel is just a few metres from Virak Buntham's office. The hotel was locked. After knocking for a few minutes, the caretaker registered us. No lift & our room is on the 2nd floor. We booked the cheapest room (no window with a fan) to crash until noon. The room is clean & comfortable, and so are the bathroom & towels. They provided bottled drinks. Good for a night stay.

Fijn hotel, wij hebben hier 2 nachten verbleven. Kamer was netjes en schoon. Hotel dichtbij leuke restaurants gelegen en erg centraal. Kamer heeft voldoende ruimte en voorzieningen zoals een koelkast en flesjes water zijn aanwezig. Zeker aan te raden als je in Battambang wilt verblijven.
