Due to its close proximity with my university, I personally believed it was the most convenient hotel with the most competitive price in the vicinity. Check in was fairly straight forward and i was also warmly greeted by the receptionist. The room itself was clean, however the bed was surprisingly hard which may not be comfortable for some people.

The hotel is a bit old-fashioned but well-maintained. The room was spacious, and cleanliness was acceptable. Overall, a comfortable stay for the price.

Calm hotel, friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel is only great if you are visiting a student in Xian Jiao Tong Liverpool University. But they should improve their language skills and service for International Student’s families. And the hotel is little pricey compared to other better hotels around the area. But overall I had a good stay.

I was in Suzhou to deliver a class at the nearby university. The hotel was perfect location to get to class, and had very nice breakfast. Just what you need for this kind of stay.

The positives: The hotel is well located in a vibrant student district with 'student type' eating facilities nearby. The rooms was spacious and clean The negatives Overpowering drain smell in the room from the bathroom - lots of small flies in room ( winter) Bathroom door would not close Plugs by desk not working I had to fix the TV digital box - it was not plugged in so no TV The breakfast is not good - Chinese selection was cold, western selection poor and no teaspoons or desert spoons. Normally i would not be concerned but the hotel is billed as an international conference centre

It’s really a gem in Suzhou. Nothing fancy but always there when you need it

Very good hotel near university. Very large room with a good firm bed. Breakfast was mainly Chinese with not enough vegetarian options but that is expected. Easy check in and out. Friendly cleaners.

It’s a decent place

The breakfast was somewhat decent but they had run out of key items like milk and butter at 9 am and showed not much interest in replenishing anything. The tub could not be filled due to a very small trickle of hot water that ran into it. I would not stay here again based on the price vs. the quality.

The year ends soon and I had some things to finish so I stayed at the university’s hotel again. It was lovely. Thanks.

Very good location. Breakfast should definitely improve, considering the high price.
