Love that the homestay was within the quiet neighbourhood, it is walking distance to pingjiang street & humble administrator garden, and around 20 minute walk away from the nearest metro station. overall had a good stay here with friendly service staff.

The staff are very nice and willing to help if you need extra water. The location is close enough to the main touristy street but far enough away to be quiet. The room itself is very clean and well-equipped--we liked the tea set. Our only problem was that the bidet did not work :( (at least the toilet flushed though!)

First off I think it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to know that the description of amenities etc. That C-Trip has on this page is not correct at all. This is for C-Trip to fix, but it might have helped us manage our expectations better. There is no restaurant, no porter, no Concierge car etc. This place is a Home Stay, not a hotel. It does not have all the amenities of a hotel. And that is important. But the people who run it, do so with kindness and a friendly style, however it is not a slick, smooth running establishment so don't expect that. In terms of accommodation, the room was nice and spacious, the bathroom with the Japanese toilet was fun, and it was clean. There was bottled water and tea provided, though just for the first day, and there was great air-conditioning. There is also a washing machine to do a bit of laundry and a place to dry it which also happens to be on the communal balcony (remember this is a home not a hotel). The bins in our room were not emptied every day, and we were not sure if we had to do it, or if there was a room service. That said, the Family who run it are absolutely adorable, Grandma is lovely. It is clear they were opening their home to travellers. And there are two cuddly kitties with whom a spent a cuddly time. One of the greatest advantages in my opinion but also perhaps for some travellers is the setting. It is in old Suzhou Hutongs, which are not everyone's cup of tea, they are sometimes very "grass roots" and not in a pleasant way. However, for me personally it was a wonderful way to see how people live away from the glitz and the glamour. It is a close walk to Pingjiang Lu, and lots of gardens are no more than 15mins away. We had a pleasant little stay here.

Fantastic location, away from the busy roads meaning it’s really quiet at night but close enough so you can get to where you need to be. The room felt quite modern and was acceptably clean. Even though I don’t think English could be spoken, we received very nice hospitality from who we believe were the owners and a simple check-in.

Room is clean and has quite good location near Pingjiang road. However, the room description says there is balcony with river view, but actually the room doesn’t have balcony; you need to go out to the common hall to see a little bit of view. Worst thing is the toilet, the water pressure is too weak that flushing is not enough, you need to manually pour water from the bucket to the toilet to flush. This makes me super annoyed and didn’t want to use the toilet at all. Luckily i only stay for one night.

Location is good. 5min walk to Pingjiang Road. Noisy at night with periodic beeping.

The neighbourhood is nice and the cats are cute. It is located in the quieter area of the Ping Jiang road, where u are greeted with locals washing clothes and chatting near the river every morning. It is very close to the tourists spots and can arrive to the ping tan performance on foot. However, the hygiene condition is definitely not the best for the price. In fact, the facilities in the room are quite old and rusty. But overall it’s a pleasant and acceptable stay.

This is such a lovely little homestay! We struggled to find the entrance since Tencent Maps sent us a street over, but after adding them on WeChat they sent us a pin right away and helped us make it (see photo!). The room was clean, well-air-conditioned, well thought out, and we had so much fun with the Japanese toilet! My chinese is limited to basic conversation only but staff were friendly and the lady at the desk on the day we checked out showed us her newborn kittens! Super super happy all round with this stay! Note to other guests: - Taxis will have to drop you a few streets away as much of the old town's streets are too narrow for cars. - The entrance is right on the canal, not round a corner. - The door is open at all times, so don't worry if you're back late!

Excellent little guesthouse just a five minute walk from Pingjiang walking street. Located in the middle of a network of traditional houses and lanes, it's an ideal place to get that traditional feel of old Suzhou. The room was cozy, warm, and clean. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful home stay right along the canal. The building is a older, but everything is so comfortable that it is ok! Highly recommend. Location is great too — just a short walk from Pingjiang Road but without any of the noise.

從蘇州旅行回來一週了，今天抽空，也是應邀，發一個硬核評論。首先聲明旅行和攝影這兩件事兒，本人既是專業的，也是職業的。之所以會趕着五一高峯來蘇州這個人間天堂擠，衹是因為要陪家裡人，順便做一點考察工作。陪家人和一個人行走江湖不一樣，居住需要環境好，儘可能排除風險，來蘇州前在攜程上翻了老城區20家酒店，被各家所謂差評搞得暈頭轉向，幾乎崩潰，最終還是出於位置的優勢，姑且選擇了這家民宿，就定了一晚，本想住一晚再決定是不是要續住，但1號晚上從平江路穿小巷走過來，剛到門口兒，就後悔應該連續訂兩晚，可此時已經來不及了，沒房了。這家民宿環境簡直絕了。背靠小河，身處一片極安靜的歷史街區中心，河邊人家的生活氣息濃厚，周邊沒有什麼酒吧，餐館之類喧囂的經營場所，特別符合我這個有點兒神經衰弱旅行者的核心要求。往西沿河100多米範圍內都是這種極幽靜的，臨河小巷，再往西才是獅子林喧囂的周邊，往東100多米，是普通的城市道路，可以打車通往其他景點。房子空間改造我覺得很不錯，作為在規劃院工作了10年的人，也考察過全國各地的民宿，這家的設計不繁複，簡潔、有趣，屋頂最高處的平台，真是個享受風景線的好地方，然而匆匆旅客們一早就奔向了景區，也衹有我在那兒邊眺望粉牆黛瓦的屋頂組成的長卷，邊吃我昨晚剩的醃篤鮮。房間不大，昨晚入住時門口椅子上有一衹橘貓陪了我好一會兒，屋內裝修裝飾比較樸素色調深沉，很合我的胃口，晚上11點左右幾位客人，剛入住時説話聲音還讓我有點擔心，但很快大家安靜下來，我想環境的感染力是個很重要的原因，畢竟周邊環境是極安靜的，物以類聚，人以羣分，在這裏應該沒有人好意思深夜暢聊狂歡。作為一個居住聚集空間緊密的小小旅社，房間隔音受材料和空間限制肯定一般，隔音其實是我無論在自己家還是各種高中低檔酒店都會遇到的問題，但是因為大家都不約而同地非常安靜，所以睡得很好，沒有受到一點干擾，除了早上八點多被遠處住家的一衹柯基吵醒，後來早飯時我在高處平台上都能看見它在叫喊，5月2號絕對是蘇州旅遊的高峯，直到我下午退房，民宿及周邊都保持了悠然寧靜的氛圍。五一的5天我都在蘇州，穿街走向去了不少地方，感覺這個民宿的位置稱得上得天獨厚，很難找到第二家。我自認是個旅行達人、行程規劃大師😄但很多旅行中的情況、細節沒有實地考察，親身體會，僅憑別人的評論是很難有真實的認知的，遇見這家民宿的第一個念頭就是我得發個評論，不能讓劣幣驅逐良幣的事情發生。當然從本心説我是一個不太願意把絕佳的好東西廣而告之的人，這個時代人怕出名豬怕壯，把好東西宣揚得自己都想用不起就鬱悶了。話説大家出來旅行，放鬆心態。對別處的人、事和文化理應更多一些包容，不必總拿自己認知的那把小尺子，過分苛刻地衡量豐富多樣的大千世界。有的時候…我是説有的時候看那些差評，真的感覺，背後的惡意，令我有點毛骨悚然。最後還想説，民宿老闆一家人連老爺爺老奶奶，都住在這棟房子裏，他們很有親和力，很隨和，還有4隻貓，有什麼需求和需要幫助的都可以和老闆娘説。如果説對老闆有什麼建議，那就是一定要把持好作為一家之主一院之主的立場，維護好這個小小的和諧世界。比如如果有個別房客干擾到別人，那真的要及時提醒，出面調解，把屬於這種傳統民居的相處之道傳達給外來的朋友，不要怕得罪人，我相信每個人身處這種和諧的關係中都會近朱者赤，從善如流的。

這個民宿很美，門口的花盛開，好多人來拍照，是個打卡地，民宿裏的院子裏露台上也有很多漂亮的花，店主很用心，房間乾淨整潔，床品舒適，老闆熱情，是一個值得推薦的民宿
