Hotel Pomorie Sun

Tripadvisor wouldn't publish my first review! So here goes my edited version!!! They say you get what you pay for but here you actually get less!! Don't come here! Save your money! Certainly don't do all inclusive it's a rip off! Where to start.....The pomarie has a nice, clean tidy lobby A nice big pool..........that's it! The only plus points! I was a single woman traveller (red hair!) & on arrival night our plane was delayed & we arrived at 2am,we were met in the hotel reception by 2 rude & unhelpful male reception staff who left us to find our own rooms by ourselves! My room was ok in size but certainly not cleaned to a standard that is acceptable, mouldy shower, no plug in the sink. Bin emptied & bed made but the toilet. Shower, sink not touched! Room smelt of smoke & dusty! No information pack in the room to tell us anything! The pool has a swim up bar but pointless when you have to pay for your drinks as the bar was out sourced to other people to run! Loud music all day did begin to grate after a while! The pool was also taken over one day by 5 rather loud women who weren't even staying at the pomerie & I don't think that should be allowed! The snack bar was the only bar available to get all inclusive drinks & it was poorly run mainly by the chain smoking, miserable barman! It was absolutely filthy dirty & soul less! the majority of the staff were rude, especially the young girls who openly mocked people if they asked questions or for help! Now the food! Breakfast awful Snacks awful Lunch awful Dinner you guessed it awful! Uncooked, repetitive food & if I see one bit of pork or veal I will cry!! It was truly inedible, I ate out, as did many others! Sunny beach was not my cup of tea as a resort, it's boring with nothing to do, just fake designer stalls, & fair ground rides, I kid you not! And the pomerie sun, NEVER AGAIN

The room was ok, a bit on the small side! The bathroom had black hairs left in sink. Drinking glasses were dirty. The food was reheated and barely on the warm side. Not much choice at all! No yogurt only a few slices of melon. Drinks machine was empty most days.

We booked this hotel then i stupidly read the reviews so was dreading it ! It’s no where near as bad as everyone says though . Yes the food isn’t the best in the all inclusive but so may places to eat out that are cheap too , the restaurant in the hotel is super busy so would go first thing for breakfast and evening meal to get a table and the best of what is on offer . Only one bar offered all inclusive drinks but we didn’t have to ever wait for long . Pool is big but as always everyone puts their towels on loungers at 6am so if you want loungers be early ! Only downside was the room was quite small for a family of 3 , two singles pushed together then a chair bed right next to it so no space to walk around . Was fine for what we used it for though -sleeping . Great location , right across from beach , shops , restaurants and the little train will take you right to anywhere you want to go too . We would go back to this hotel so that says a lot as i am fussy !

Currently still at this hotel. Nothing but negative feedback since arrival. Arrived at 1.30am to be greeted by 2 staff members who appeared to not have manners and said passport. We provides the passport was then giving a room card and told go to the left. We were then left to try and find the correct floor, correct bedroom on our own. When we finally did get to the room it clearly hadn't had a clean as cigarette ends were under the dresser which yes they are still there now. Half a toilet roll no spares. There was no access to drinks on arrival.Breakfast day 1: Tables not set, staff no where to be seen, fresh juice machine not refilled just pouring water, coffee cups need the bin not being in a dining room as the cups were disgusting we had to drink our coffee out of plastic cups which is not acceptable. The food well lets just say i wasn't eating any of it. Looked like mush. Luckily for us i guess we were bed and breakfast. The staff are rude unless you are paying for your drinks. Should not be accepting all inclusive as out of 5 bars they could only use the snack bar and the lobby bar for their drinks. Positive feedback would be this hotel is in a prime location and the pool is massive and is lovely. The beach is right opposite hotel, lots of good food/bars surrounding the hotel. Recommendation from us would be reduce the stars of the hotel and only offer bed.

Read all other reviews, wish we had before we booked. The family rooms are tiny, beds weren't changed during our 1 week stay. Towels were changed, top sheet folded, that's it !!!! Bathroom not cleaned once !!! All inclusive Food !!!! Lol, it's horrendous and repetitive, didn't see 1 fried egg in the week we were there. Only 1 bar out of 4 did the all inclusive drinks, all the other bars you had to pay, even the swim up pool bar, you had to pay !!!! The snacks bar was filthy, never saw 1 person doing the cleaning, tables were left filthy with food, ice cream, spilt drinks, you name it, it was there !!! Do yourselves a favour, Find somewhere else, if you go, you will be very disappointed 😞

After booking this hotel and then seeing all the bad reviews, I was actually dreading going. But I can honestly say we had a blast. yes the food options were poor unless you like fish and pork, the breakfast options were different but I enjoyed a full breakfast every morning. The food choices for children were non existent but we survived on chips (no different to any other AI we have stayed in) the location was fantastic and really close to bars, shops and of course the lovely beaches rooms a bit small for 3 people (pull out bed) but again we survived. The staff were all friendly as I'm always a good morning and thankyou person. The aircon was fantastic and the free wifi was OK for what I needed it for. Only downside is that I feel it's shouldn't be advertised as a AI hotel, only the one bar can be used unless you want to pay for drinks at pool bar and sports bar. The kids entertainment team were brill but the hotel lacked some adult entertainment, unless you paid for drinks in sports bar. Pool was really nice but don't listen to the notice of no bed reserving.
