Sunderland City Centre

A lovely warm welcome and easy check in. Romm 101 was clean and comfortable, they had decorated our room with banners and left a birthday gift for my husband which was very kind. The bar is small but cosy and you do have to wait for someone to come and serve you. We had the dining package which was well worth it. The food was nice and a drink is included in the price. We slept great and loved breakfast. The only thing that needs improving is lost property procedures. These are not in place and they should be.

Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable good location. Staff excellent. The only downside was, i went down for breakfast expecting the usual buffet, but it wasn't available. it was cook on demand. I wasn't prepared to pay buffet prices for this as i like to help myself and not wait for it to be cooked. I went elsewhere for my breakfast

Beautiful Hotel. The beds were comfortable, very clean, aesthetically pleasing, and the staff were lovely. I appreciated the extra supplies of tea, coffee, milk etc at the reception. This was all on a stand with easy access which was great as I felt like I wasn't having to bother the staff and could just get some bits to top up. The entire hotel was beautifully clean, no parts appeared to be broken, damaged, old, or unkept which was nice! I'd would certainly recommend

As usual the staff were nice and friendly and the beds are comfortable but I the food in the evening was really not worth having I ordered the gammon and soft runny eggs I got dry gammon and hard eggs and a small portion of sad chips with peas, Only had one meal and thats all I had in 4 nights stay. I informed the member staff who was not interested , I thought companies like feed back before it mentioned on tripadvisor .I left most of my meal.

The food is very good and great value the meal deal of breakfast and evening meal with drink can't be beaten. staff are great all ways smiling and attentive very helpful and efficient. rooms are clean and comfortable I had a great nights sleep it set me up for the next day.

Staff are really friendly both trips I've had here. The food is really awful, there's been huge cost cutting on ingredients, I wished I'd got a Greg's bacon sarnie instead and saved money tbh. Amazingly the thermostat in the room/heating only works from late evening; I was pretty ill while away so some heating would have been nice especially in January. The room wasn't cleaned after I asked which was a bit irritating, and I had to wander around to find someone to ask - pretty nifty tactic insisting guests ask for a clean but not having a manned reception. It's cheap, but I'll be looking for other places to stay. Not the staffs fault really - poor quality food, policy decisions on heating and cleaning resourcing to save cash. I might try another premier inn elsewhere to see if this is standard or this particular hotel wasn't good, but my visits here have genuinely put me off the brand.
