I booked for 4 pax (with 1 5 yo and 1 9 yo kids). When I checked in, I thought the breakfast was complimentary to my booking, and the kids were free. only to find out, it was not. I paid an extra 400 per pax per day(1,600 in total)
The front lobby staff (*** I think and ****) said it's hotel policy whether or not kids will eat or not, I needed to pay 400 each per day. Guys, it's mandatory. Bring extra cash. BTW, I was talking to **** because i felt *** didn't get my point about the breakfast. Then i realized that after **** said its their policy, she just left me, and another girl assisted me. Way to go for a manager. Tbh, I let it go, i just paid because it's useless and because my kid was there seeing me arguing ( guests won't win)..THEIR POLICY. The rationale they gave was that they couldn't control or monitor their day tour guests if they had eaten breakfast. Then, u need to look for ways to solve it. Not to burden the in-house guest. The accommodation is pricey enough, then you breakfast whether they or not. For me, i can accept 400 per pax for adults, but for 5 yo to 12, it's too much.( FyI. 2 yrs and below are free of charge. 3 yo and up, 400 each)
I traveled with kids and 1 senior, we had luggage and bags, yet no one cared to assist even the crews saw us carrying out bags.
The room we had was big but the lights were warm. So, I needed to use flashlights to look at our things. Warm lights are mounted at the wall only. At times, I brought my bag in the bathroom because it was brighter there. Also, my senior citizen companion did not stay in our room because she said it's a bit creepy.
Their wifi is not working. "Connected,no internet." Or can't connect the wifi on the smart TV.
My friend said that camayan has discounts for in house guest at Ocean Adventure, and I was about to book at klook that time. To verify, I asked the crew while we were at the pool, and the crew said was "I don't know." Haha, really? Because the staff doesn't know the services they offering? Aren't all aware of it?to my disappointment and too lazy to go to the front desk because of what happened upon check-in, I just booked at klook. THEN, when we checked out, I asked about the promo. True enough, they do have.
Likewise, I asked the staff again that I booked for 4 pax, but the towels we had at our room were only 2. So I asked her if she could assist me in bringing 2 towels later. (Because we were at the pool, lookingout for my kids). Guess what the staff said.. " Someone will go to your room and ask if u need anything." Shocks, I'm telling my concern, and at least I expect her to say or recognize my concern and refer it to concerned staff if it's not her task to do it. But what she did after telling me that was, she just walked away. Duh! What a service.
I did my best to ignore their service (it sucks) because i was advised by my friends to enjoy our stay becuase its my baby's bday. So I looked at the brighter side, my kids were enjoying the pool and the beach.
Good side of the Camayan, staff at the Reef restaurant were friendly and accommodating, and the food we ordered was good (though a bit expensive). Pesto was nice.
But what I observed at the reef and even I asked the staff because I paid 400 per pax per kid, that in their standee, it says kids and senior =350 per pax.
So I clarified, then the crew said, "That's for day tour guest only." But no day tour guest indicated in the signage. Guess in house guest pays more than day tour guests.
Again, the pool and the beach are nice. Kids wanted to go back there, but next time, it would be a day tour guest.
