Wilder and Pine Riverside Cabins

If you wish to be within walking distance of restaurants, on the water, and close to the scenic Columbia River Gorge waterfall drive and Mt. Hood, then this is for you! The manager, Lisa, spoke with us on the phone and gave many helpful recommendations for nearby sites and activities. Bonus was watching windsurfers launch next door from a grassy lot! Be advised that the train tracks (vital for the area loggers) are within several hundred feet and the whistle can be heard day and night. Our room, #9, was very spacious and spotless with kitchen and AC, located on the 2nd floor. There is a television located in the first floor lounge. Suggest visiting the Columbia Gorge Museum first! Enjoy!

My husband and I stayed at Wilder and Pine while he was attending a conference at the lodge. It was so nice having our little home away from home with everything that we needed. The location is absolutely perfect with many restaurants and shops walkable. The beautiful cherry trees growing right outside our window was a nice surprise. And though I hadn’t rode a bike in years I loved it! Such such a nice touch. And the soaking tub was spectacular to lay in after a long day exploring. We will be back.

How do I even begin to describe this oasis of tranquility? I arrived in the evening greeted by Lisa who welcomed me like family with a wink, a smile, and a laugh I could feel in my soul. Lisa informed me I was in luck, as the Walking Man Brewery around the corner hosts live music and offers delicious food on Thursday nights. Headed down to my cabin to unpack and found a record player with selection of records waiting for me to play as I made myself comfortable. Afterward, I headed to the brewery which did not disappoint with friendly inviting staff and a courtyard filled with ambience, music, and melophiles. Upon return to my cabin, I took a relaxing soak in the hot tub on my private deck while enjoying the stars and listening to music before heading to bed. To my great delight, the bed was so comfortable that I awoke the next morning feeling as if I may have travelled to a higher dimension being greeted, as I was, to a truly magnificent sunrise! Highly recommend!
