Holiday Inn Express & Suites Stevens Point

The room I was in had a trickling water noise coming from inside the wall, in the closet, the whole time was there. Breakfast bar in the morning at 7:00-7:30 am was consistently out of multiple items including coffee. I’m here on business. I don’t have time to wait 10-15 minutes for more stuff to come out! The bathroom was not cleaned properly. I found long black hairs in the bathroom. If I had other IHG options i. This area I would definitely choose those. And on my next trip I will. I will be going to Holiday Inn across the street. This place was no good. The staff was extremely nice. That is the only reason for not gives a 1.

The check in was excellent. It was fast and got in right away. The room was large, and the temperature controls worked well. Looks like it had been renovated recently, but there was a shortage of outlets. Example, had to go under the desk to plug in lap top. Had two cell phones took up the nightstand and other corner outlets. Had a Kindle that had to be charged in the bathroom. Room was quiet and dark out shades were nice. The bed however, as a side sleeper was bad. Really stiff and hard. Woke up with a backache. I know this is a novel idea, but management should sleep on these beds before they put them in the rooms. As noted by previous poster, the hot tub was not working, was told missing a part. Seems like EVERYONE is missing a part since Covid. It was not on the website as not being available which is one of the reasons that I chose this location on the hopes OF a hot tub. Breakfast, the pancake maker was out of batter. The juice machine was not working. They had this little self contained juices, that had about 4 oz in them as a replacement. The eggs were hot, sausage okay, but breakfast was a little of a let down. Had one of the "famous cinnamon rolls" Not all that great to be honest. Bought a soda from the commissary, and that was flat, and I do mean flat. Did not hiss when you opened it so flat. Was not charged for it. Got a different one and well same thing. The reason I would not recommend is that there were too many things broken, not working and the hard bed.

Our family has utilized this hotel for years as we have family in the area. The staff is usually amazing, the breakfast is seriously the best free hotel breakfast I’ve ever had (I travel cross country for work this place still beats all) and the place is clean. With that said, we stayed in 2021, 2022, and now 2023 and the jets in the hot tub have not worked. We are very understanding but after multiple stays with this experience I decided to address the issue, yet again before I left. I addressed it with a manager (he was discussing work schedules with a member of the kitchen staff) who told me he was part of HR and the front desk associate at the time. The HR rep apologized but other than that not much more and I have doubts it’ll be fixed prior to our next stay. If you expect me to pay full price for my room and all its amenities, you better make sure they work. Would love someone to actually acknowledge my complaint in an actual attempt to resolve it so that I keep my business here instead of taking it elsewhere.

Upon checkin we could not turn fan off in our room. Went to front desk and were told maintenance would be notified. Returned later and nothing had been done to remedy. Told front desk and were informed no maintenance were available and offered to move us to another room. We declined it was late. Unplugged AC to stop fan noise. It got down into low 50's that nite and we froze are ass off all nite. When checking out I notified front desk. Asked for my receipt and was told it would be emailed. It is now Sept 26 and 18 days later no receipt. Called front desk and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Hung up and redialed Jan answered and forgot I was on hold. What a joke. Wont stay here again terrible customer service.

Over all the room was fine.....there was paper products on the floor by the bed upon our arrival. Bathroom was very clean. The problem I had was this was a connecting room and the door on our side was not locked. Then the door to the room via the hallway was not secure either in that there was light from the hallway that you could see under the door and on the side of the door (where the lock is). It didn't make for a secure feeling. You could hear the people in the other room like they were in our room. If I had been told it was a connecting room I would not have taken it.

Clean, basic, reliable hotel in SP area. Right off 39 and near lots of restaurants. Staff are helpful. They fixed my WiFi problem right away! Breakfast wasn't as good as in previous years. No turkey sausage patties when I came downstairs. Biscuits still fresh, though! Highly recommend if you have business in SP area.

Over the last 55 years I have stayed at a lot of hotels. Dealt with front desk check in and check out from around the country. I can say this was the best ever. We were treated with great respect and efficiency at check in. But the front desk person was the most personable and help full I have ever experience. The housekeeping staff were just as friendly. Attitude is obvious as the rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. Travel in this area again this will be my choice.

Needs work. Disappointed. Stayed to enjoy the hot tub and visit family and not be out driving on New Years eve. Pool area is small and closes at 10pm which is early and also has no attached bathroom or changing area . Because of previous issues with Hot tub and pools at this location and the sister property and since having use of a hot tub was important for this stay, I called ahead to verify everything was open and working well. I was told it was. It wasn't. Hot tub wasn't hot and jets not working. Doubtful chemicals were ok as well. Have stayed in the past with family and hot tub seems to be a consistent issue. Sister property next door the regular Holiday inn filled in their large hot tub over maintaining it. Not sure why all the issues at these properties, travel a great deal and dont generally run into those issues consistently at other locations. Elevator not working properly, would go down but not up so had to take stairs to get to the room . Wife cant walk steps so couldn't stay with us. there is only 1 elevator for guests and staff housekeeping to use. Laundry area is old not updated. But cheap. Staff is always great, and location is good. The room was clean and hotel was quiet. But feel like owners are cutting corners and need to put some money into improvements. Didn't use the breakfast , but its been fine in the past. Planned a 2 day stay, may leave early or move to a different hotel . Basically good if you just need a clean place to stay when traveling... but not great if wanting to destress and just get away , enjoy the pool and hot tub or for a staycation, Then Id choose another location. Wanted to spend time with family in the area and didnt want to be out driving on New Years Eve , so good to avoid that and stay, but this was our first stay back at this location since Covid and really disappointed. We had hoped things had improved with pool hot tub issues and overall maintenance , but seems they haven't. Disappointed.
