Clarion Pointe Statesville

This is an utter disgrace of a place. The entrance/exit is a challenge, given that it's a quick shot from a very busy turnabout, right off the expressway. During my check-in, the attendant was out on an errand, and the lobby was held down by a patron, watching TV in the lobby??? "Blink Blink". The attendant did show up within 10 minutes of my arrival, but shrugged off his absence and insisted that it' nothing and that he would now assist me. The interior of my room, displayed poor workmanship. the gaps at the bottom and upwards along the door were enough to slide my fingers under. From the bed, one could see under the sink, where the water lines were clearly not done by a professional. The traffic noise did not settle down till around 7:30 PM.

Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived for 1 night while in transit. The desk agent was helpful in getting us a first-floor room and secure parking. Room- tight if more than 2 people in a double. There is a comfy chair, but it's next to the air conditioner. Room is renovated but hinges and doors show age. Overall clean and served it's purpose. Breakfast- beverages, cerceal, make your own waffles, fruit, bread products, yogurt.(I'm sure I forgot something) There was a outdoor pool, game room, fitness center (we did not use these)

I stayed at Clarion Pointe in room 134 for a May weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my extremely clean, quiet and modern room. It looked as if recently refurbished. The swimming pool was not open yet but looked sparkling clean looking from above at the 2nd floor ice machine room. There was no street or I-40 noise. Very good dining is nearby including a Pizza Express, which has good reviews, that is across the street. For longer stays needing plenty of room for food, the refrigerator is double the size of others I've seen in hotels. The TV and microwave were great. The included breakfast was quite filling. All personnel were very friendly. I highly recommend Clarion Pointe and would definitely stay again.

Stayed one night on migration north. Not bad online rate. Good - it is clean, convenient, nice size room and includes breakfast. Not so good - you can clearly hear the next room, and a lot of road noise. If you turn on the air and fan the white noise helps. It was fine for a one night stay.

Stayed for a few days in April. Booked the 2 queen suite, and it was very spacious. Two adults, two kids, and a baby fit very comfortably. One kid sometimes slept on the sofa in the second room, and the baby was in her pack-n-play in there as well. The room was clean, and we got exactly what we had booked. Breakfast was nice. Waffles, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt were the options. Juice and coffee as well. It was small, but fitting for the scale of this hotel. The only downsides to our room was the placement. We were facing the interstate, so it was a bit loud. That said, I had no issue falling asleep. It wasn't so loud as to be disturbing. Will this be a contender for our next visit to Statesville? Yes. I would stay here again. What we got for what we paid was good.

The room was really dirty. I don't think it had been cleaned. There was a used bar of soap on the tub and the toilet was disgusting. See picture below. All we received was an apology and were offered 10% off, which we didn't receive. I do not recommend this hotel.

I booked a room online for a conference in Statesville for about $80 per night. First impression: the outside of the motel is not the most attractive. The grounds could use some beautification, but they may be working on that because the specific lobby area interior and exterior looked like it had been recently renovated. The interior of the room seemed to have been updated fairly recently with modern furnishings. The room was generously sized for a 2-star motel. There were nice clean sheets and bedding. A touch more attention to detail by housekeeping could really put it over-the-top - there was a stray hair in the shower and a missed spot here and there in the room. Most people probably wouldn't have even noticed, but I have an eye for detail. I slept comfortably. The adjoining room was a little loud with their TV, but a white-noise app on my phone easily drowned out ambient noise and traffic outside. I would stay here again if I were on business, not for leisure. This is a solid value-motel in a convenient location. Breakfast was a little bare-bones. Not really any meat offered that I could see. Waffles, some very small pastries, cereal, and coffee.

The gentleman that checked us in and out was very friendly. The outside of the hotel may look a little dated, but the room we stayed in was clean, updated, and nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I’m in the area. Several food options were within walking distance.

This was just a quick overnight stop on our way to PA. The room was remodeled but the breakfast was sparse. It was not within walking distance to restaurants except I think there was a Waffle house a block away. There is a roundabout to get to the hotel making it very confusing. I would not walk anywhere due to the roundabout. We won't be back.
